During warm summer evenings I love to sit outside and crochet. I am now making a dog. I made this dog before (click here to see where I found the pattern) but this time I'm making it with Phildar Coton 3 (the brown color) and Drops Cotton Light (crochet hook size 3mm. This Drops yarn is really beautiful, but not so suitable for amigurumi. So it's a bit of a struggle at times because the yarn splits quickly. I think that's less so when you're crocheting a blanket or a sweater, for example, where the stitches don't need to be as tight. Also, a bigger crochet hook might help against the splitting. But, despite the struggle I just kept on going and the dog is almost finished. One more arm and then I can put it together. Want to see more dogs and dog patterns? Then click here. I wish you a nice Sunday.

I found a free pattern of a cute bear and so I made one. You can find the pattern here. I changed the way the colors were used so I could use some scraps of yarn. Actually, I should have attached the eyes on the other side so the color change on the sweater wouldn't be so visible. But still the bear is very happy I think. The pattern is a free pattern on the website of Airali. She made this bear with a crochet hook size 4.5mm. I used a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3. In stead of sewing the nose on the face, I used a plastic safety nose. So, a lot of little changes to the original bear but still a very cute bear, don't you think?

Click here to enterHeb jij dat ook?
Do you have that too? That you crochet the same kind of projects over and over again but it never gets boring? I've crocheted lots of bees, but when I saw this cute pattern on FaveCrafts I immediately put aside the project I was working on. I crocheted this bee with the Phildar Phil Coton 3 in the color Minerai and Katia Capri in the color 82057. For the wings, I used just scraps of Phildar Phil Coton 3 of a light color (unfortunately I don't know the color number). I crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook. I always hang my crocheted bees on a string so they can hang in front of the window. Want to see all the bees I crocheted? Then click here to see all the blog posts about bees.

It's been a while since there was a Link Your Stuff link party on my blog. Lately I was doubting whether I wanted to continue with it. With all these other social media where people can share their work, I noticed in recent years that the enthusiasm for a link party wasn't the same as in the early days. But I still had a lot of fun having it here on my blog so I just let it continue. So the last few weeks I was in doubt, but my blog without a link party also feels very empty. So for now it's back and I hope we can make it a happy party even with less participants. I wish you lots of fun! :-)

Click here to enterAl zo lang ik haak haak ik hartjes.
As long as I've been crocheting I'm making hearts. Sometimes flat hearts like these, but also stuffed hearts like the ones on the photo above. I wrote a pattern of stuffed hearts before, but that was a smaller version. You can find it here on my blog. The hearts on the photo above are slightly bigger but just as much fun to make. The pattern is below (scroll down for English pattern). This pattern was also published at AllFreeCrochet. A website where you can find many crochet patterns.
I have such a huge amount of amigurumi that sometimes I don't know what to do with them. I keep them in a big box and occasionally I google for charity projects that might need them but so far without succes. I used to sell them every now and then on markets, and if the weather was nice it was a lot of fun. But unfortunately that did not happen last year. Who knows, maybe it will happen again soon. What do you do with your amigurumi? I am curious! Leave a comment in the comments because who knows, there might be good tips for me (or others). I wish you a nice Sunday!
p.s. The pattern of the fox is here, the pattern of the frog is in this book, the pattern of the bear is in this book.
Last week I told you that I had made a scarf for the green cat, and that I was working on a cardigan. Here's a little update of how it looks now. I think I will make a cardigan with long and short sleeves. I have three crocheted cats, and I think it would be nice if they all wear something different. Maybe I'll also crochet a pair of pants, too. Or a dress. If you have any ideas, put it below in the comments. Then I might be able to do something with it. I will share the patterns of the clothes when they are ready here on my blog. The pattern of the cat is already here. I wish you a nice Sunday!

Over the past few months, I've occasionally crocheted a leg. And then again an ear or a scarf. And so suddenly there were three kittens. One was still missing a shawl, so I crocheted that one too and immediately after that I started crocheting a cardigan. Because when I put this pattern on my blog a while ago (click here) someone said it would be so much fun if they had clothes. So I'm going to slowly start working on that. I will share the patterns as soon as it is finished. Wishing you a happy Sunday!

I was going through some old magazines when I found the pattern of this cute fruit salad. Such an easy and quick project was exactly what I was looking for, so I gathered some cotton and I started crocheting. The pattern was in the Simply Crochet Amigurumi Collection, a special edition of the magazine from 2015. I kept it because one of my patterns was in it. Actuallly, I had forgotten all about that, so it was fun to suddenly see my name while going through the pages. The pattern from the fruit salad if from Sandrine Deveze. In 2015 she published the gorgeous book Sweet Crochet (Tendre Crochet in French), you can find the book here. Unfortunately I couldn't find the patterns of the fruit salad anywhere online, but if you go to the right side bar of my blog to the list of labels and search for the word 'apples' or 'pears', you can find a lot of cute patterns. A cute pear pattern is here (Dutch) and here (ENG). Wishing you a lovely day!

I've been working on a new Granny Blanket for a while now. The nice thing about such a blanket is that I can crochet it almost with my eyes closed. And it is so nice to be able to crochet with just scraps of yarn. When I crochet a blanket like this I always make a large square first. Then I continue on one side with the Granny Stripe pattern. This way you get a large rectangle. When that rectangle has the right dimensions I continue with the edging. It is a very simple way to make a blanket but it is so nice to do. Meanwhile I am already thinking about my next blanket. I would like to crochet one with much more white. Well, that can be put on my wish list for next projects. Have a nice Sunday!

A while ago I crocheted this bag, but I don't use it at all and that's quite a shame. Because the squares are really cute. So I took the bag apart and now I'm making a pillow cover out of it. It goes really fast and it will be fun. I am also working on another square. It is made of thicker cotton. At first I wanted to make a blanket out of it, but that is actually not very handy because with that thick yarn it becomes a very heavy blanket. So that will also be a pillow cover. Nice for in the summer on a garden bench for example. But that summer is a long way off. There's a huge amount of snow outside today. It looks lovely, but I will stay inside for a while. I wish you a nice Sunday!

Click here to enterIk ben bezig met een grote granny square cirkel.
I'm working on a large granny square circle. I crocheted one before and when this one is finished I'm going to sew them together and then it will be a very big pouf. It is a fun project and it's different from the previous pouf I made. While crocheting I don't have to watch what I'm doing all the time and that's nice. I just use scraps of yarn, although of course the circle gets bigger and bigger and then really tiny scraps are no longer suitable. But while using these scraps my yarn stash is getting smaller. Although... fortunately the end of that yarn stash is nowhere in sight. I wish you a nice Sunday! Update: the pattern is available here!

I've had this yarn (Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky) lying around for so long and I've tried to make several things from it, but each time it just didn't turn out the way I wanted. For example, I crocheted part of this blanket from the book Cocoon. And then I started something else but it still wasn't what I expected. Then I just started with a large granny square. And that worked so well with an 8mm crochet hook that soon a nice blanket began to form. When the square was big enough I continued with the granny stripe pattern on one side. Then the stitch remains the same but that way you make the blanket a rectangle and thus longer. At the corners I want to attach the pompoms. Now all I need to make is the edging and then it is finished and I can continue with something else.
