Collection of toys

Ik vind het altijd zo gezellig om een hele verzameling amigurumi op de foto te zetten. Over de knuffels op deze foto heb ik al eerder geblogd. Van alle knuffels zijn patroontjes beschikbaar, ik zal hier even de linkjes plaatsen naar de blogberichten: de bij, de krab, de octopus, de kat, de teckel, de konijntjes, de muis en de uil. I always love to make a picture of a bunch of amigurumi because they look so cute with so many. I've already blogged about the toys on the photo and there's a pattern available of every toy. Mouse

Jeetje, het jaar is alweer bijna om. Wat is het snel gegaan, he? Het lijkt nog zo kort geleden dat ik het jaaroverzicht Link Your Stuff 2018 maakte. Ook dit jaar maak ik weer een jaaroverzicht en dat zal ik op Oudejaarsdag op mijn blog zetten. De meest aangeklikte linkjes van het jaar bij Link Your Stuff worden dan in een mozaiek gezet. Het is altijd zo leuk om te zien wat jullie favorieten waren.
Het afgelopen jaar heb ik niet zoveel gehaakt als ik wilde. Dat kwam omdat ik mezelf een beetje voorbij gelopen ben, en dat maakte dat ik even een pas op de plaats moest maken. Gelukkig gaat het nu weer de goede kant op, maar ik kijk uit naar 2020 en ik hoop dat dat een jaar gaat worden met minder zorgen en plezier in alles wat ik altijd zo leuk gevonden heb.
Het muisje op de foto hierboven haakte ik tijdens de Kerstdagen met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald maat 3.5mm. Wil je een ander garen proberen? Probeer dan eens Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.

Wow, the year is almost over. It went so fast, don't you think? It seems like yesterday that I was making the year overview of Link Your Stuff 2018. This year I'll make another year overview and I will post it on my blog on the 31st of December. In this year overview you can see a mosaic of links that were most clicked on. It's always so much fun to see what you liked most.
The past year I didn't spend as much time on crochet as I would have wanted. That's because I had too much on my plate, and that's why I had to take a little pause from everything. Luckily, things are getting better, but I'm very much looking forward to 2020 and I hope that will be a year where I can worry less and where the things I always loved to do feel like fun again.

For charity

Ik vond nog een aantal foto's van een aantal van de knuffels die ik mee gaf voor Roemenie (klik hier). Het waren allemaal gratis patroontjes: de kat, de muis en de uil. De uil heb ik geen oortjes gegeven, daarom ziet hij er wat vreemd uit. :-) Ik weet niet meer welk patroontje ik voor de schildpadjes gebruikte, maar hier vind je in elk geval een leuk patroon.

I found some pictures of some of the toys that I donated for Romania (click here). They were all made with free patterns: the cat, the mouse and the owl. I didn't give the owl ears. that's why he looks a little funny. :-) I don't remember what pattern I used for the turtles, but you will find a cute free pattern here.

About the mice

Ik ben nog altijd bezig met mijn muizen-project, alhoewel het af en toe even stil ligt doordat ik tot twee keer toe ziek werd. Maar desondanks lig ik op schema, en ondertussen probeerde ik een leuke manier te bedenken om jullie te laten weten wat nu de stand van zaken is. Hoeveel muizen heb ik gehaakt? I'm still working on my mice-project, although sometimes I have to slow it down because I've been ill twice. But, despite that I'm still on schedule, and in the meantime I thought of a fun way to let you know how far I've got. How many mice did I make? Check the video below and you'll see. A mouse a day...

Nu ik zelf natuurlijk ook knuffels aan het haken ben voor Roemenie (lees daar hier meer over) en er nog maar een maand over is om ze in te leveren (uiterlijk met Kerst) leek het me leuk om elke dag een amigurumi te haken gedurende de hele maand December. Elke dag? Ja, dat is best veel maar ik had bedacht dat als het patroontje niet al te moeilijk is het zou moeten lukken. Daarom heb ik de muis hierboven gemaakt met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Het patroontje vind je hieronder voor als je het leuk vindt er ook een te maken.

Nu ga ik dus de komende tijd heel veel van deze muizen maken van dit patroon, maar elke muis zal anders zijn. Wil je ze allemaal voorbij zien komen? Volg mij dan nu op Facebook (klik hier) want ik zal elke dag een nieuwe foto posten.

Now that I'm making toys for Romania as well (read more about that here) and there's only one month left to send them in (before Christmas at the latest) it seemed a fun idea to make an amigurumi every day for the rest of December. Every day? Yes, that's pretty often but I thought that if the pattern isn't too difficult I must be able to make it. So that's why I designed the mouse above. I made the mouse with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. The pattern is below if you would like to make one (scroll down for English pattern). Heb je ze vorige week gezien bij Link Your Stuff? De schattige vingerpop-muisjes van Hannie van de blog HaakZaken? Ze had ze geplaatst op Link Your Stuff en nu is Hannie zo lief geweest om het patroontje uit te schrijven (klik hier) zodat we er allemaal mee aan de slag kunnen. Leuk als kadootje voor Sinterklaas? Op Hannies blog vind je trouwens nog veel meer mooie dingetjes, dus neem de tijd om er even rond te snuffelen.

Pattern of a mouse

Toen ik onlangs op zoek was naar een haakpatroon van een muis kwam ik op de blog van Grietjekarwietje terecht. Zij heeft de muis op de foto hierboven gemaakt en gelukkig heeft ze het patroon op haar blog gezet! En niet alleen dit patroon, er staan nog veel meer patronen en andere leuke knutselprojecten op haar blog. Just recently I was looking for a crochet pattern of a mouse and that's how I ended up on the blog of Grietjekarwietje. She made the mouse on the picture on top of this blogpost and luckily she posted the pattern on her blog! And not only this pattern, there are a lot more patterns and DIY-projects on her blog. Crochet Mice

Gisteravond laat verkocht ik mijn eerste item in mijn Etsy-shop. En dat ook nog aan een van mijn Blog-volgers! Wat ontzettend lief! Ik heb het pakje vandaag gepost en ik hoop dat ze er blij mee zal zijn. Verder was ik vanmorgen heel erg verrast toen ik zag dat Johnnie van Saved By Love Creations mij en mijn Etsy-shop op haar blog heeft genoemd. Last night I sold my first item in my Etsy-shop. I sold it to one of my Blog-followers! How incredibly sweet! I posted the package today and I hope she'll be really happy with it. Dit weekend haakte ik dit muisje. Ik haakte de muis met een haaknaald 4mm en Drops Paris katoen. Voor de ogen gebruikte ik 6mm veiligheidsoogjes. Het patroon vind je hieronder. Veel plezier!

This weekend I made a mouse. I made the mouse with a crochet hook size 4mm and Drops Paris cotton. For the eyes I used 6mm safety eyes. The English pattern is below the Dutch pattern. Enjoy!

Patroon Muis
1. 2L.
2. 6V in 2e L.
3. * Meerder door 2 vaste in 1 steek te haken, 1V. * Herhaal rondom. (9)
4. * Meerder, 1V in volgende 2 steken. * Herhaal rondom. (12)
5. 1V in elke steek rondom. (12)
6. * Meerder, 1V in volgende 3 steken. * Herhaal drie keer. Meerder dan nog een keer in de volgende steek. (16)
7. 6V, maak een oor (in volgende steek: 1HV, 1V, 4ST, 1V, 1HV), 2V, maak nog een oor, 6V.
8. 1V, meerder, 2V, meerder, 1V, sla nu het oortje over, 2V, sla nu het volgende oortje over, 1V, meerder, 2V, meerder, 1V. (18 v) Zorg dat de oortjes aan de goede kant van het haakwerk zitten, haal ze zo nodig door de opening naar de andere kant.

Maak de muis dicht en naai een neusje en oogjes op de voorkant.

Staart
Haak 15 lossen. Haak dan vanaf de tweede steek vanaf de naald 14 lossen. Je kunt de staart uiteraard langer of korter maken. Maak de staart daarna vast aan de muis.

Pattern mouse
1. Make 2 chain stitches.
2. 6SC in 2nd chain from hook.
3. Increase by doing 2SC in the first stitch, 1SC in the next. Repeat until you have 9 stitches.
4. * Increase, 1SC in the next 2 stitches. * Repeat until you have 12 stitches.
5. 1SC in each stitch around. (12)
6. * Increase , 1SC in the next 3 stitches. * Repeat until you have 15 stitches. Make another 2SC in the next stitch. (16)
7. 6SC. Now make an ear. You do that by doing the following in the next stitch (1 slip stitch, 1SC, 4DC, 1SC, 1 slip stitch). Make 2SC in the next two stitches. Crochet another ear in the next stitch. Make another 6SC in the next stitches.
8. 1SC, 2SC in the next stitch, 2SC, 2SC in the next stitch, 1SC, skip the ear, 2SC, skip the next ear, 1SC, 2SC in the next stitch, 2SC, 2SC in the next stitch. (18) Make sure the ears are on the right side of you work. Push them through the small opening if they are not.
9. 1SC in each stitch around. (18)
10. * Increase, 5SC. * Repeat until you have 21 stitches.
11. 1SC in each stitch around. (21)
12. * Increase, 6SC. * Repeat until you have 24 stitches.
13. 1SC in each stitch around. (24)
14. * Decrease by crocheting two together, 4 single crochet. * Repeat until you have 20 stitches.
15. * Decrease by crocheting two together, 3 single crochet. * Repeat until you have 16 stitches.
Fill the mouse with fyberfill.
16. * Decrease by crocheting two together, 2 single crochet. * Repeat until you have 12 stitches.
17. Decrease around. (6)
Embroider a nose and eyes on the front of the mouse.

Tail
Crochet 15 chain stitches. In the second chain from the hook crochet single crochet all the way down until you have 14 stitches. Ofcourse you can make the tail longer or shorter if you wish. Attach the tail to the mouse.

Mice - Muizen

Mijn nichtje Noor werd dit weekend vijf, en volgende week geeft ze een partijtje. Om de kinderen die op haar partijtje komen te bedanken voor het komen heb ik deze muizen gehaakt die aan het einde van het feestje uitgedeeld zullen worden. De mama van Noor gaat er nog een mooi kaartje aanhangen en dan is het alleen nog maar hopen dat het in goede aarde valt.
Het patroon van deze muizen komt in loop van deze week op mijn blog. En voor wie niet kan haken: mail me als je interesse hebt want je kunt ze natuurlijk bestellen.

My niece Noor turned five this weekend, and next week she'll be giving a birthday party. To thank the little guests for coming, I crocheted these mice that will be handed out at the end of the party. Noor's mamma will attach a nice card to them and then all we can do is hoping that this gift will be well received.

A cute mouse - Een schattige muis

Het patroon van deze hele schattige muis is nu te vinden op de website van Caitlin an Marijke Bongers. Het is nog niet beschikbaar in het Engels, maar een bezoekje aan hun blog is hoe dan ook een bezoekje waard. Ze hebben zoveel leuke dingen op hun blog. Een bezoekje aan hun winkel in Hardinxveld-Giessendam staat daarom ook al heel lang op mijn I-wish-to-do-list.

Danidou

Omdat inmiddels twee vriendinnetjes van mij zwanger zijn ging ik op zoek naar een leuk kadootje. Er is zoveel leuks te vinden op internet, maar het liefst geef ik natuurlijk iets wat gehaakt of gebreid is. De aller-, aller-, allerliefste site is wat mij betreft die van Danidou. Alles wat je daar besteld wordt speciaal voor jou gemaakt, dus je kunt ook je eigen kleuren uitkiezen. Ik weet niet zeker of mijn vriendinnen mijn blog lezen, daarom verklap ik nog niet wat ik heb laten maken. Klik hier om op de site van Danidou terecht te komen.

Because I have two pregnant friends at the moment I started looking for a nice gift. There are so many nice things on the internet, but ofcourse I prefer to give something that is knitted or crochet. Lodewijk

Na het breien van twee dezelfde muizen besloot ik op zoek te gaan naar een ander patroon van een muis. Gek genoeg zijn die er nauwelijks, maar dat geeft helemaal niet als je het patroon van Lodewijk in je bezit hebt. Lodewijk is bedacht door Annita Wilschut en is echt prachtig! Meer breiwerken van haar zijn te bekijken op deze website. Het patroon van Lodewijk vind je hier. Als je Lodewijk hebt gebreid, vergeet dan niet een foto van jouw Lodewijk te sturen naar Annita. Haar mailadres vind je in het patroon.

In de herhaling

Van de restjes van een ander breiwerk heb ik nog maar een keer een muis gemaakt. De voorraad vulling die ik onlangs haalde is nu echt op. Het is wel opmerkelijk dat je met zo'n kleine hoeveelheid vulling toch aardig wat kunt maken. Van ongeveer 350 gram heb ik twee grote muizen en de nekrol die hieronder staat kunnen maken. Het geheel voelt, als knuffel én als nekrol, heel prettig aan en ziet er mooi gelijkmatig uit. Kortom, een aanrader!

Nog even oefenen

Gelukkig heb ik met Kerst van mijn moeder een heleboel nuttige tips gekregen, maar er valt natuurlijk nog een hoop te oefenen. Om het meerderen en minderen nu eens echt goed onder de knie te krijgen besloot ik een - voor mij - lastig patroon uit te kiezen. Omdat ik alleen nog een restje zwarte Hoooked Zpagetti over had werd het deze wat sombere - maar toch ook wel gezellige - vette muis.
During Christmas my mom helped me a lot with my crochet projects, but of course there's still a lot to practice. To get the hang of increasing and decreasing I decided to choose a difficult project. I had a little Hoooked Zpagetti in the color black so I made this very dark - but pretty - mouse.
