Crochet crocodile

Ik wilde heel graag een krokodil haken voor iemand die heel erg van krokodillen houdt en net een baby had gekregen. Gelukkig heb ik veel haakboeken in de kast staan, dus ik heb ze allemaal doorgepluisd op zoek naar het leukste patroon. Het werd deze krokodil. Het patroon komt uit het boek Zoomigurumi 5 en is van One and Two Company. De krokodil was niet zo moeilijk te maken als ik dacht. Ik zag een beetje op tegen de bobbels op de pootjes en neus maar dat bleek uiteindelijk niet zo moeilijk als het er uit zag. Ik maakte de krokodil met een haaknaald 3mm en Phildar Phil Coton 3 in de kleur Anisade. Ik koos voor een lichte kleur omdat ik dat het beste bij een baby vond passen. De krokodil is inmiddels naar de nieuwe eigenaar en ik hoop dat ze er veel plezier van gaat hebben. Wil je het boek Zoomigurumi 5 bestellen? Klik dan hier.

I wanted to make a crocodile for someone who loves crocodiles and just had a baby. Luckily I have many crochet books so I looked through all of them looking for the cutest pattern and this is the result. The pattern is from the book Zoomigurumi 5 and is a design from One and Two Company. The crocodile wasn't as hard to make as I thought. I thought the bobbles on the nose and feet would be hard but that wasn't the case at all. I made this crocodile with Phildar Phil Coton 3 in the color Anisade. I chose a light color as I thought this would be that most suitable color for a baby.

My first pattern: a crochet crocodile!

Na een lange zoektocht naar een patroon van een gehaakte krokodil kwam ik er achter dat er nergens een patroon was wat ik leuk vond. Daarom besloot ik er zelf een te maken. Dat klinkt alsof het in vijf minuten geregeld was maar tjsonge... wat was dat veel werk! Maar het is leuk om te doen en nu hij af is ben ik best trots. Op naar de volgende! Het patroon is te koop in mijn Etsy-shop, zowel in een Nederlandse versie als in een Engelse.

After a long search for a pattern of a crochet crocodile I found out that there wasn't a pattern available that I liked. So therefore I decided to make one myself. Well, that sounds like it's done in five minutes but oh boy... it was a lot of work! But it's a nice thing to do and now that it's done I'm quit proud. The pattern is for sale in my Etsy-shop, both in English and Dutch.
