Collection of toys

Ik vind het altijd zo gezellig om een hele verzameling amigurumi op de foto te zetten. Over de knuffels op deze foto heb ik al eerder geblogd. Van alle knuffels zijn patroontjes beschikbaar, ik zal hier even de linkjes plaatsen naar de blogberichten: de bij, de krab, de octopus, de kat, de teckel, de konijntjes, de muis en de uil. I always love to make a picture of a bunch of amigurumi because they look so cute with so many. I've already blogged about the toys on the photo and there's a pattern available of every toy. Wat een gekke tijd is dit toch. Kerst is net voorbij (ik hoop dat je het fijn hebt gehad!) en Nieuwjaar moet nog komen. Vooral de periode voor Kerst vind ik altijd zo leuk, met al die leuke Kerst-patroontjes die er te haken zijn. Dat is nu voorbij dus het is weer even zoeken naar nieuwe leuke dingen om te haken. Ik haakte gisteren een heel lief muisje, maar het licht is nu zo slecht, ik krijg het niet goed op de foto. Die volgt dus later nog een keer.
Het uiltje op de foto haakte ik een tijd geleden al. Ik vond het zo'n gezellig foto, zo'n uil in een boomstam. Als je ook een uil wilt haken klik dan even hier. In de blogberichten die je dan te zien krijgt vind je vaak links naar gratis patroontjes van de uilen die ik eerder haakte. Een fijne dag vandaag!

What a crazy time this is. Christmas is just over (I hope you had a lovely time!) and New Year is yet to come. Especially the time just before Christmas is one of my favourites, with all those nice Christmas patterns to crochet. But now that Christmas is over it's time to look for new things to make. Yesterday I crocheted a very sweet little mouse, but the light is so bad now, I can't get a nice photo of it right now so I'll show it to you later.

Abby the Owl

Niet zo lang geleden haakte ik dit uiltje ook al eens (klik hier voor het blogbericht daarover). Het is een heel eenvoudig patroon maar het resultaat vind ik erg leuk. Omdat ik nogal veel restjes had komt het ook goed uit, want zo kan ik elke toer van kleur wisselen en werk ik mooi mijn voorraad een beetje weg. Wil je dit uiltje ook haken? Het patroon kun je hier downloaden via LoveCrafts. Je krijgt dan de Engelse versie. Wil je liever de Nederlandse versie? Dan kun je hier terecht. Veel haakplezier gewenst!

Not so long ago I made this owl (click here to read that blog post). It's a very simple pattern but I love the result. Abby the Owl

Ik heb al heel wat uiltjes gehaakt, maar nog niet eerder haakte ik een uil met Phildar Phil Coton 3. Vandaag heb ik dat wel gedaan en het patroontje schreef ik uit. Je kunt het hier downloaden op de website van LoveCrafts. Je hebt er wel een account voor nodig, maar het is eenvoudig aan te maken. In het patroon staat precies wat je nodig hebt om deze uil (die ik Abby noemde) te maken. Ik wens je veel haakplezier!

I've made many owls already, but I hadn't made an owl with Phildar Phil Coton 3 yet. But today I did and I wrote down the pattern. You can download it here at LoveCrafts. Keychains

Ik haakte een paar sleutelhangers van hele simpele patroontjes. Het patroontje van de vis vind je hier, het patroonje van de uil vind je hier. Het zijn leuke kadootjes die je snel klaar hebt. Ik haakte deze sleutelhangers met Paintbox-garen, dat kun je hier krijgen. Ik gebruikte een haaknaald 3mm en veiligheidsoogjes van 6mm. Een fijne dag vandaag!

I made these keychains with some very simple crochet patterns. The pattern of the fish is here, the pattern of the owl is here. These are really cute gifts that you can make within an hour. I made these keychains with Paintbox-yarn, that's available here. I used a crochet hook size 3mm and safety eyes 6mm. Have a lovely day!

Merry X-mas

Het is alweer tweede Kerstdag, en ik hoop dat jullie genieten van een paar fijne dagen. De komende week is voor mij een vakantie week, en ik zal deze week een aantal blogberichten posten met herinneringen aan creatieve gebeurtenissen van het afgelopen jaar. Daar zullen ook bijdragen van Link Your Stuff 2016 in terug te vinden zijn. Dus deze week iets meer blogberichten dan gebruikelijk, en wie weet sta jij er wel tussen.
De uiltjes hierboven haakte ik voor Roemenie. Morgen maak ik bekend hoeveel knuffels en andere spulletjes ik verzameld heb dit jaar. Het patroontje van deze uiltjes vind je in dit blogbericht.

It's the second day of Christmas, and I hope you are all enjoying some lovely days. My vacation has started, so this week I'll be looking back and so I will post a few of my favourite crochet events of 2016. I will also look mention some of the contributors of Link Your Stuff 2016, so perhaps you will be part of it.

Crochet Owls

En natuurlijk maakte ik ook heel veel knuffels voor het project in Roemenie. Eigenlijk spaarde ik ze al het hele jaar, maar deze uiltjes haakte ik in de afgelopen weken. Ik haakte ze allemaal met Paintbox garen dat hier verkrijgbaar is. Het patroon is heel eenvoudig, je vindt het hieronder. Meer gratis patroontjes vind je hier of kijk helemaal onderaan deze pagina tussen de labels, dan kun je mijn blogberichten selecteren op onderwerp. And ofcourse I also made a lot of toys for the project in Romania. Actually I made and saved them during the year, but I crocheted these owls in the past few weeks. I made them all with Paintbox yarn that is available here. The pattern is very simple, I wrote it down below. Scroll down for the English version (US terms). Lijfje (je begint met de onderkant)
1. Haak 6V in een magische ring.
2. Meerder rondom. (12)
3. * 1V, meerder. * Herhaal rondom. (18)
4.  *2V, meeder. * Herhaal rondom. (24)
5-8. 1V in elke steek. (24)
Wissel van kleur.
9-14. 1V in elke steek. (24) Hecht af.

Ogen (met wit)
1. Maak een magische ring. Haak 3 lossen.
2. Haak 10 stokjes in de magische ring. Sluit de ring.
3. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste stokje. Hecht af.
Steek de veiligheidsoogjes door het midden van de witte cirkel en maak ze vast aan de binnenkant van het lijfje. Vul het lijfje op en sluit de bovenkant. Vouw de kant de oren dubbel bij het dichtnaaien. Naai tenslotte een snavel op het lijfje.

Body (start with the bottom)
1. 6SC in a magic ring.
2. Increase around. (12)
3. * 1SC, increase. * Repeat around. (18)
4. * 2SC, increasee. * Repeat around. (24)
5-8. 1SC in each stitch around. (24)
Change colour.
9-14. 1SC in each stitch around. (24) Fasten off.

Eyes (with white)
1. Make a magic ring, chain 3.
2. Do 10DC in the magic ring. Close the ring.
3. 1 slip stitch in the first DC.
Now push the safety eyes through the middle and push them through the closure that's on the inside of the body. Fill the body with fyberfill and close the top. Fold the sides of the top to shape the ears. Sew a beak on the body.

Ik ben ondertussen hard bezig met het haken van knuffels voor Roemenie. Dit jaar haak ik zo veel mogelijk uiltjes. Heel leuk om te doen en niet moeilijk. Op een avond haak ik er zo tien achter elkaar. Het is wel veel tellen, dus een goed gesprek kan ik er niet bij voeren. :) Helemaal af zijn ze nog niet. Ik moet ze nog vullen en hier en daar moeten nog snaveltjes en oogjes gehaakt worden, maar het begin is er. Wil je ook knuffels insturen? In the meantime I'm making as many owls possible for charity (children in Romania). This year I'm making as many owls possible. I love making them and it's not hard. On one evening I can make about 10 owls. I have to count a lot, so I can't have a proper conversation at the same time. :-) They are not finished yet, some of them need stuffing and others still need a beak or eyes. Crochet Owl

Ik haakte deze week dit uilenkussen. Het was erg leuk om te doen en het ging eigenlijk best snel. Dat kwam denk ik vooral omdat ik met een dubbele draad Paintbox Yarns Simply DK haakte en een haaknaald 5.5mm. Ik vulde dit kussen met super zachte fyberfill van het merk ReStyle. Nu had ik een hele tijd met Hema-vulling gewerkt, en ik was echt enorm verbaasd over het verschil. Met Hema-vulling bleef ik vulling in een knuffel stoppen, en het duurde lang voordat de knuffel echt goed gevuld was. Met de ReStyle-vulling zat het kussen al heel snel vol. Het is dus wel iets duurder, maar het is echt wel de moeite waard om iets meer uit te geven want je doet er echt langer mee. Wil je deze uil ook maken? I made this week this owl cushion. It was lots of fun to do and it was done pretty quickly. I think that mainly had to do with the fact that I used a double thread of Paintbox Yarns Simply DK and a crochet hook size 5.5mm. I fulled this cushion with fyberfilll from the brand ReStyle. I had been using HEMA-filling for a pretty long time, and I was amazed that it was such a difference. With HEMA-filling I kept putting filling in the amigurumi, and it took a long time before it was all filled up. With ReStyle the cushion was full pretty soon. It is a bit more expensive, but is really is worth it because I'll be using this bag for much longer. Do you want to make this owl? The free pattern of this owl cushion is here.

For charity

Ik vond nog een aantal foto's van een aantal van de knuffels die ik mee gaf voor Roemenie (klik hier). Het waren allemaal gratis patroontjes: de kat, de muis en de uil. De uil heb ik geen oortjes gegeven, daarom ziet hij er wat vreemd uit. :-) Ik weet niet meer welk patroontje ik voor de schildpadjes gebruikte, maar hier vind je in elk geval een leuk patroon.

I found some pictures of some of the toys that I donated for Romania (click here). They were all made with free patterns: the cat, the mouse and the owl. I didn't give the owl ears. that's why he looks a little funny. :-) I don't remember what pattern I used for the turtles, but you will find a cute free pattern here.

Giant Owl Pattern

Is dit niet schattig? Deze hele grote uilen zijn gehaakt met Ribbon XL. Klik hier om nog meer foto's te zien op de blog van de maakster. Die blog is sowieso erg de moeite waard. Wel in het Frans, maar de plaatjes alleen al zijn een bezoekje waard. Het patroon is helaas alleen in het Frans verkrijgbaar, en volgens mij ook alleen maar te bestellen als je in Frankrijk woont (klik hier). Wel jammer, maar wie weet wordt het nog eens in andere talen vertaald.
p.s. dankzij een behulpzame volger weet ik nu dat het patroon in een boek staat dat hier verkrijgbaar is in het Frans.

Ik heb de afgelopen week een aantal uiltjes gehaakt. Nee, niet alle uiltjes hierboven maar in elk geval het uiltje in het midden. Op Facebook kreeg ik meteen de vraag of ik er een patroontje van had, dus daarom besloot ik maar leuke gratis uilenpatroontjes te verzamelen.
