Crochet Rattle Pattern

A while ago I had so much fun crocheting rattles that I crocheted a bunch of them. Very handy, because now I have a lot of them and when a baby is born I always have a present on hand. These are all free patterns that I have collected here and there. I think most of them are here or here. And maybe there are more, but I printed them some time ago so I didn't keep the links. I used different colors each time and now it is a super cheerful collection, don't you think?

This week I received the latest book by Annemarie Arts. It's called Rattles and Cuddles, Crochet for Babies (only available in Dutch). I couldn't wait to get started, even though I didn't have the materials as described in the book. I crocheted this bee with a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3 (the pattern says a crochet hook size 2mm). There is a rattle inside the bee so it rattles very sweetly. It is about 11 cm high.
In this book you will find many more cute patterns of rattles. Of each rattle there's a rattle pattern with and without wooden ring. If I counted correctly there are 14 patterns in the book, but in total you can make 28 rattles because each pattern has two versions. It really is a nice and fun book. Would you like to order the book? You can do so here. Want to read more book reviews? Then click here. I wish you a happy Sunday!

The Stitch Festival

The weather is really dark and not fun at all. At least, if you want to go outside or if you want to take pictures of what you've made recently. Then the sun is very nice. But unfortunately we have to wait a while for that so the rattle on the picture is a rattle that I made some time ago. It is a pattern by Sugary Sweet Design and it actually is a fox. You can find the pattern here. As you can see I used different colours and I didn't make a tail.
What I also wanted to tell you is that I have nice plans this week. I'm going to the Stitch Festival in London. Those who follow me for some time know that I always go to the Knitting & Stitching Show, but that has now become the Stitch Festival. It's a super big and fun show, so if you get the chance I would definitely go and have a look. Also because there are a lot of very nice and varied workshops. More information about the Stitch Festival is available here. You can book the workshops online until shortly before the show, after that you can only register during the show. Make sure to be there on time if you have something nice in mind, because before you know it the workshops are full.
I wish you a very nice week and of course I will be there again on Saturday with Link Your Stuff. See you then!

Bunny rattle

Leuk toch, zo'n kraamkadootje?

If you visit the blog of Aan de Haak magazine every now and then, you might have seen this rattle already. I made it as a gift for a newborn. The pattern is from Stip en Haak and you can find it here on the page with free patterns (also in English). I also made a pink version. They are very easy and fun to make. For this rattle you need: a little bell/ball for the rattle, a wooden ring, yarn in blue, white and black (I used Phildar Phil Coton 3) and a matching crochet hook. Isn't this a cute gift?

New pattern!

Some time ago I made an easter bunny that looked a bit like miffy. The past few weeks I've been adjusting the pattern by making the head more round. I've adjusted the body as well, so now it's a rattle. The pattern? You can find it as a free download on Ravelry.

New pattern: Apple Tree Rattle

♥ Click this link if you want to follow my blog with Bloglovin ♥

I love designing patterns, but I think it's the hardest thing to come up with something that isn't there yet. There are already so many gorgeous designs out there! I came up with the idea of this apple tree (that can also be made as a rattle) during our last vacation in the UK. Yesterday I managed to write down the pattern so as from today the pattern in available in my Etsy-shop.
