And here it is: the overview of Link Your Stuff 2019! I selected the links that were clicked on the most each month and this is the result. Isn't it a beautiful collection? Below the photo you see the links to the makers of these projects and photos, so be sure to stop by to see where the patterns can be found or how they were inspired to make these projects.
I look back with pride on a year with a Link Your Stuff link party every week. Over the years, you see that Link Your Stuff continues to be faithfully visited by many visitors, but the number of participants is slowly decreasing. This is a bit sad because it naturally also endangers the future of Link Your Stuff. So keep participating and keep sharing Link Your Stuff, so we can hopefully enjoy this weekly link party for a long time to come.
In previous years I also made an annual overview and it is so lovely to see how the colours differ per year. Click here for 2018, 2017, 2014, 2013 and 2012 (unfortunately I did not make an overview in the years 2015 and 2016).
Also, did you know that I wrote my first blog post on January 2, 2010? That means that my blog will be 10 years old next week and of course I will celebrate that. So make sure to visit my blog this week, I promise it is worth it.
For now I wish you a very happy New Years Eve and for 2020 I wish you happiness, health and a lot of creativity!

Mouse

Wow, the year is almost over. It went so fast, don't you think? It seems like yesterday that I was making the year overview of Link Your Stuff 2018. This year I'll make another year overview and I will post it on my blog on the 31st of December. In this year overview you can see a mosaic of links that were most clicked on. It's always so much fun to see what you liked most.
The past year I didn't spend as much time on crochet as I would have wanted. That's because I had too much on my plate, and that's why I had to take a little pause from everything. Luckily, things are getting better, but I'm very much looking forward to 2020 and I hope that will be a year where I can worry less and where the things I always loved to do feel like fun again.
I made the mouse on the photo during Christmas with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3.5mm. Do you want to try another yarn? Try Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.
It's such a cute and simple pattern. I found it here. I made some other mice before with other patterns. If you want to see them all just click here. For now I wish you a lovely day and don't forget to come back here on the 31st to see the year overview of 2019!

Kerstdwerg

I was looking for a cute and simple pattern for Christmas when I found this cute dwarf. It's on the website Gewoon iets met Loes. The pattern is available for free (in Dutch), you can find it here. I found more cute patterns on this website, for instance an airplane rattle and some lovely flowers. A great website to add to your favourites I would say. If you click here you will see all crochet related posts.

Bunnies by Lanukas

I made a few sunny bunnies this summer. I didn't pick the colors before I started but now that they are lined up like this I really love the combination. The English pattern is free and it is available at the bottom of this blogpost by Lanukas. It is also translated into Dutch. The translation is available here. I made these bunnies with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3.5mm. I already made a red version of this bunny, you can find it here. Happy crocheting!

Crochet Octopus

I've spent my last holiday near the sea and that's how the idea came to mind to make a large octopus. Well, not very large, but a nice big cuddle toy that you can drag along by one of its eight feet. Harry is approximately 10cm high and measured from foot to foot (as shown on the photo) he is 20cm wide. I made this octopus with Phildar Phil Coton 3. The pattern is available here and here. Have a lovely day!

It is such a cute book, the book Herfst en Bos Haaksels. It was made by Freubelweb for the Esther Vergeer Foundation. I had it for a while and had started on the squirrel. It took some time to make the tail as I was busy doing other things, but it is now finally finished. If you want to order the booklet, you can do so here in the Freubelweb webshop. There you will also find the other booklets from this series. If you buy one of these books you support the work of the Esther Vergeer Foundation. Crochet squirrel

I got this book some time ago but I didn't have the time to make something from it. But now I've started and it is so much fun! The squirrel is the first pattern in the book and he's also modelling on the cover of the book. I'm nearly done, I just have to make the tail and I need to find the yarn for that. Isn't he cute? The book was made by Freubelweb for the Esther Vergeer Foundation. It's the last book of a series of four cute pattern books. The pattern of the squirrel was designed by Sugarysweetdesign. Do you want to purchase this book? It's available here. If you purchase this book you support the projects of the Esther Vergeer Foundation. Read more about these projects here.

Projects to finish

If you are working on a few projects at the same time, it is sometimes hard to remember which legs go with what body. In this case it is not too difficult because of the colors I've used, but I'm happy when they are all ready. Then I know what they look like and I can start looking for a new home for them. How many projects do you think there are on this photo? Most parts on this photo are made with Phildar Phil Coton 3 but the red parts were made with Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.

Sleepyhead

Granny Square Bag Pattern

During a previous holiday I made a lot of granny squares, and eventually I made a bag out of most of the squares I made. It is a really nice bag to use, and with all the colors I've used it looks very cheerful. If you go to this blogpost you can see how to arrange the squares to make this bag. Once you have the arranged like that, just sew them together. When you're done you fold the piece in half so that the two squares on the top are placed right on top of the two squares at the bottom. After that,  sew the squares that are on the outside. Don't sew the squares that are on the top because your bag needs an opening. In total you need 24 squares. I used a crochet hook size 3.5mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3. The pattern of the square is below. Of course you will also need a bag handle. To make a bag handle, just make 10 chains, turn your work, do 1 single crochet in every chain (9). Now keep making 9 single crochet and a chain until your bag handle is long enough. Remember to make 2 and sew them onto the bag. Happy crocheting!

Granny square patroon
3. Haak 4 lossen, haak 1 dubbel stokje in de 2-losse-opening, haak 1 losse, haak 2 dubbele stokjes in dezelfde 2-losse-opening. * Haak 2 dubbele stokjes in de eerstvolgende 2-losse-opening, haak 1 losse, haak 2 dubbele stokjes in dezelfde 2-losse-opening. * Herhaal wat tussen * staat nog zes keer.
5. Haak 3 lossen, haak 2 stokjes in dezelfde 1-losse-opening.

Granny square pattern
1. Make a magic ring, click here to see how to make a magic ring. Chain 4, make 1 trble crochet in the magic ring, chain 2. * Make 2 treble crochet, chain 2. * Repeat what's in between * six more times.
2. Mak1 slip stitch in the fourth chain you made at the beginning of row 1. Make 1 slip stitch in the top of the next treble crochet. Make 1 slip stitch in the chain-2-opening and change color while doing so.
3. Chain 4, make 1 treble crochet in the chain-2-opening, chain 1, make 2 treble crochet in the same chain-2-opening. * Make 2 treble crochet in the next 2-chain-opening, chain 1, make 2 treble crochet in the same chain-2-opening. * Repeat what's in between * six more times.
4. Make 1 slip stitch in the fourth chain that you made at the beginning of row 3. Make 1 slip stitch in the next treble crochet. Make 1 slip stitch in the chain-1-opening in between the two sets of treble crochet, change color while doing so.
5. Chain 3, make 2 double crochet in the same chain-1-opening. Make 3 double crochet in between the next two sets of treble crochet. Make 3 double crochet in the next chain-1-opening. In the next opening in between the next two sets of treble crochet: 2 treble crochet, chain 3, 2 treble crochet.
* Make 3 double crochet in between the next two sets of treble crochet (do this 3 times in total), in the next opening in between the next two sets of treble crochet: 2 treble crochet, chain 3, 2 treble crochet. * Repeat what's in between * two more times. Make 1 slip stitch in the third chain that you made at the beginning of this row. Fasten off.

Crochet Bear

PB = vaste
AUM = meerderen
DISM = minderen
Cambiar a color = wissel van kleur
Repetir X veces = herhaal X keer
Patas = poten
Cuerpo = lichaam
Morro = neus
Orejas = oren

Lucia, the designer that some of you may know as Lanukas, did not only make a very cute pattern of a bunny. She also made a very cute bear, the pattern is available for free here. The patterns is in Spanish, but it's not very complicated to read. Or at least, that's what I thought but I must admit I speak a little bit Spanish. And also, I just followed the numbers and that's how I figured it out. But if you still think it's complicated, I wrote down the abbreviations and translated them for you into US terms:

PB = single crochet
AUM = increase
DISM = decrease
Cambiar a color = change color
Repetir X veces = repeat X times
Patas = legs
Cuerpo = body
Morro = nose
Orejas = ears

When you look at the picture of the bears that Lucia made, you will see that I didn't crochet the nose. I just sewed it onto the head. I made this bear with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. I hope you will enjoy this pretty pattern!
p.s. the patterns is also available in English here.

Fox Rattle
