Crochet Bee Pattern

Do you have that too? That you crochet the same kind of projects over and over again but it never gets boring? I've crocheted lots of bees, but when I saw this cute pattern on FaveCrafts I immediately put aside the project I was working on. I crocheted this bee with the Phildar Phil Coton 3 in the color Minerai and Katia Capri in the color 82057. For the wings, I used just scraps of Phildar Phil Coton 3 of a light color (unfortunately I don't know the color number). I crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook. I always hang my crocheted bees on a string so they can hang in front of the window. Want to see all the bees I crocheted? Then click here to see all the blog posts about bees.

Collection of toys

I always love to make a picture of a bunch of amigurumi because they look so cute with so many. I've already blogged about the toys on the photo and there's a pattern available of every toy. I'll post the links to the blog posts so you can find them: the bee, the crab, the octopus, the cat, the dachshund, the bunnies, the mouse and the owl. Happy Sunday!

Crochet bee

Yesterday I posted a picture of a crochet bee on Facebook. I made the bee a long time ago so when someone asked me where the pattern came from I didn't have a clue at first. I think I used this (Dutch) pattern. At least it's a similar pattern. You can find another nice (English) pattern here. Bees are so nice to crochet with this nice weather. You can hang them in a branch or make a mobile. But you can also attach them to a wreath, like I once did with flowers (click here). I wish you a nice day!

This week I received the latest book by Annemarie Arts. It's called Rattles and Cuddles, Crochet for Babies (only available in Dutch). I couldn't wait to get started, even though I didn't have the materials as described in the book. I crocheted this bee with a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3 (the pattern says a crochet hook size 2mm). There is a rattle inside the bee so it rattles very sweetly. It is about 11 cm high.
In this book you will find many more cute patterns of rattles. Of each rattle there's a rattle pattern with and without wooden ring. If I counted correctly there are 14 patterns in the book, but in total you can make 28 rattles because each pattern has two versions. It really is a nice and fun book. Would you like to order the book? You can do so here. Want to read more book reviews? Then click here. I wish you a happy Sunday!

Bees!

I'm crocheting bees today. They aren't done yet, they still need wings and I need to work away all yarn ends. But despite that they already look pretty cute, don't they? You can find the link to the pattern in this blog post. I'm making these bees with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm.

Bees!

Bijen!

Bees! As long as they don't sting they're fun, especially when they are crocheted. I made this bee a few times already. I love to make them because it isn't hard and the result is pretty. The pattern? That's over here. It's in English so if you're Dutch or German you might need to use this translation scheme. Did you know that the UK crochet terms differ from the US crochet terms? You can see that very clearly in the translation schme. Most pattern are written in US terms, but sometimes they are not. You won't be the first who gets mistaken. How you can tell a pattern is in US terms or in UK terms? If you're lucky there's a note with the pattern, but if there isn't... then it's just a matter of giving it a try. The pattern of this bee is the US version. I've used these eyes for my bee, this crochet hook and Drops Paris. Good luck!
