Crochet Leaves Garland Pattern

Het is weer de tijd van het jaar om te haken met allemaal herfstkleurtjes. Vanmiddag haakte ik een slinger met blaadjes in alle herfstkleurtjes die ik zo gauw kon vinden. Alle blaadjes zijn gehaakt met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Het is een leuk en klein project waar je met restjes garen al gauw een hele voorraad hebt. Het patroontje vind je hieronder. Ik wens je er veel plezier mee.

It's that time of year again to crochet with all the gorgeous colors of fall. This afternoon I crocheted a garland with leaves in all the autumn colors I could find. All leaves were crocheted with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. It is a fun and small project where you can make a whole bunch with just scraps of yarn. You can find the pattern below (scroll down for English pattern). I wish you lots of fun with it.

Patroon gehaakte blaadjes
1. 12 lossen, keer je werk. 
2. Haak vanaf de tweede losse vanaf de naald de volgende steken 1 vaste, 2 halve stokjes, 2 stokjes, 2 dubbele stokjes, 2 stokjes, 1 half stokje, 1 vaste, 1 losse. Ga door aan de andere kant van de lossenrij: 1 vaste, 1 half stokje, 2 stokjes, 2 dubbele stokjes, 2 stokjes, 2 halve stokjes, 1 vaste, 1 losse.
3. Ga verder en keer je werk niet. Haak 5 vasten, meerder in de volgende twee steken (dit zijn de twee dubbele stokjes uit de vorige toer), 4 vasten, sla de losse van de vorige toer over, 4 vasten, meerder in de volgende twee steken (dit zijn de twee dubbele stokjes uit de vorige toer), 5 vasten.
4. Ga verder en keer je werk niet. Haak 1 halve vaste in de eerste vaste die je in de vorige toer haakte, ga daarna met halve vasten door het midden van het blaadje zodat je een nerf krijgt. De laatste halve vaste haak je in een vaste in de punt van het blaadje. 
5. Je gaat nu het steeltje haken. Haak 4 lossen, keer je werk, haak 1 vaste in de tweede losse vanaf de naald, haak 2 halve vasten in de andere twee steken. Haak dan nog een halve vaste aan het begin van de nerf (dus weer door het midden van het blad) of in een vaste langs de rand en hecht af.

Pattern crochet leaves (US terms)

1. Chain 12, turn.

2. Continue in the second chain from hook: 1 single crochet, 2 half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 treble crochet, 2 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, chain 1. Continue to work on the other side of the row of chains: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 treble crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, chain 1.

3. Continue but don't turn your work. Make 1 single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches, increase in the next two stitches (these are the treble crochet stitches of the previous row), make 1 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, skip the chain stitch of the previous row. make 1 single crochet in the next 4 stitches, increase in the next two stitches (these are the treble crochet stitches of the previous row), make 1 single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches.

4. Continue but don't turn your work. Make 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet you made in the previous row. Continue making slip stitches in the middle of the leaf until you reach the other end. Make the last slip stitch in a single crochet in the edge (preferably opposite to the other side of the leave from where you started to make the middle). 

5. Now continue with the node of the leaf. Chain 4, turn, make 1 single crochet in the second chain from your hook, make 2 slip stitches in the other chains. Make 1 slip stitch in the single crochet  of the edge or in the middle of the leaf right near the edge. Fasten off.

Crochet Mandala XL

Ik ben bezig met een gehaakte mandala en het is zo'n fijn project om aan te werken. Naarmate het groter wordt is de herhaling van steken steeds rustgevender omdat de cirkel steeds groter wordt. Op de foto is de mandala bijna klaar, en toen ontdekte ik opeens een fout in de een-na-laatste rij. Ik moest dus een flink stuk uithalen, maar dat had ik eerder ook al een keer moeten doen omdat het best lastig is om zo'n grote cirkel mooi plat te krijgen. Maar het is gelukt en de mandala is nu bijna klaar. Dan het patroon nog netjes uitschrijven, dat wordt ook nog een flinke klus. I am working on a crocheted mandala and it is such a nice project to work on. As it gets bigger, the repetition of stitches is more and more relaxing as the circle gets bigger and bigger. In the photo, the mandala is almost finished, and then I suddenly discovered a mistake in the second-to-last row. So I had to unravel, but I did that once before already as it is quite difficult to get such a large circle flat. But I succeeded and the mandala is almost ready now. Crochet Toadstool Ricorumi

Ik kocht laatst een paar Ricorumi boekjes. Er staan allemaal leuke kleine projectjes in en het eerste wat ik haakte was deze paddestoel. Het was een erg leuke paddestoel om te haken en ik denk dat ik er meer van ga maken zodat ik er bijvoorbeeld een slinger van kan maken. Ik haakte de paddestoel met een bolletje van 25g Rico Ricorumi DK (het onderste deel), een restje Rico Ricorumi Spray DK color 003 (het randje rondom de rode bovenkant) en een restje Phildar Phil Coton 4 (de rode bovenkant) en een haaknaald 3mm. 

Just recently I bought a few Ricorumi booklets. The booklets are filled with cute small projects and the first thing I made was this toadstool. It was a very fun toadstool to make and I think I'll make more of them so I can make a garland for instance. I made the toadstool with a ball of Rico Ricorumi DK (25gr for the bottom), scraps of Rico Ricorumi Spray DK color 003 (the edging around the red top of the toadstool) and scraps of Phildar Phil Coton 4 (the red top of the toadstool) and a crochet hook size 3mm.

Crochet Vest for Amigurumi Cat

Een tijd geleden schreef ik al over het vestje wat ik aan het haken was voor de gehaakte kat. Dat is nu eindelijk af. Het is een patroontje geworden wat je zelf nog naar je eigen smaak kunt aanpassen door de onderkant of de mouwen langer te maken. Het patroon van de kat vind je in dit blogbericht. Some time ago I wrote about a vest that I was making for the crochet cat. That's now finally ready. It is a pattern that you can adjust if you feel like. You can make the vest longer and you can make the sleeves longer. The pattern of the cat is in this blog post. Do you want to have a pdf-file? Als je een langer vastje wilt, herhaal dan toer 9 totdat het vestje lang genoeg is en eindig met toer 13.

1. Haak 31 lossen.

If you want the sleeves to be longer, repeat row 2 until the sleeves are long enough and end with row 3.

1. Attach yarn in the lower corner of the arm hole and do 1 SC in each stitch around (18). Make 1 slip stitch in the first SC you made, chain 1, turn. 

2. Make 1 SC in each stitch around (18), make 1 slip stitch in the first SC you made, chain 1, turn. 

3. Make 1 SC in each stitch around (18), make 1 slip stitch in the first SC you made, chain 1, turn, fasten off.

Crochet Pumpkin Patterns

Het blijft zo leuk om pompoenen te haken. Ze staan zo vrolijk op tafel en je kunt altijd met de kleuren variëren zodat je iets hebt staan wat helemaal bij je eigen huis past. Ik haakte gisteren een pompoen met de bobbelsteek (links achter op de foto). Dat is zo'n grappig patroontje geworden. Je vindt deze set van drie in mijn Etsy-shop, klik hier om daar naartoe te gaan. De twee patroontjes zonder bobbelsteek vind je trouwens ook gewoon hier op mijn blog. Klik hier om naar het blogbericht met die patroontjes te gaan. De pompoenen die ik gisteren haakte heb ik met een haaknaald 3mm gehaakt, het garen is Ricorumi Spray DK. 

Is het je trouwens opgevallen dat ik de reacties op mijn blog heb uitgeschakeld? Ik kreeg de laatste tijd zoveel spam op mijn blog. Geen idee hoe dat opeens kwam, maar het was niet meer bij te houden. Daarom heb ik de mogelijkheid even uit gezet. Heel erg jammer, want ik vond het altijd leuk om jullie berichtjes te lezen. Maar misschien als ik het over een tijdje weer aan zet dat het beter gaat. Voor nu wens ik je in elk geval een hele fijne dag!

It's so lovely to crochet some pumpkins. Having them on the table in my living room always make me happy, no matter what season it is. Bobble Stitch Pillow Free Pattern

 

Het bobbelsteek kussen is af! Ik ben er echt superblij mee. Het patroon is leuk geworden en met de kleurtjes die ik kado had gekregen heb ik nu echt een heel tof en vrolijk kussen erbij. Ik heb het patroon uitgeschreven maar vooralsnog is het alleen in het Engels beschreven. Je vindt het hieronder. Als je een volledige PDF wilt ontvangen dan kun je die hier in mijn Etsy-shop terugvinden. In dit blogbericht vind je nog terug welk garen ik gebruikte. Ik haakte het kussen met een haaknaald 5mm, het kussen is 45x45 groot. Mocht je het gaan haken dan wens ik je veel haakplezier toe!

The bobble stitch pillow is ready! I'm so super happy with it. The pattern of the bobble stitches turned out great and with the bright colors (they were a gift) I have a super cute extra pillow to use. How to make the bobble stitch

Do all of the following steps in the same stitch 
1. Yarn over, hook in stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through first two loops (you now have two loops on your hook).
2. Repeat 1. You now have three loops on your hook.
3. Repeat 1. You now have four loops on your hook.
4. Repeat 1. You now have five loops on your hook.
5. Repeat 1. You now have six loops on your hook.
6. Yarn over, pull yarn through all loops on your hook.
Your bobble stitch is done.

The front of the pillow
Turn after every row.

1. Chain 52 (or a multiple of 4) + 3.
2. Do 1 double crochet in the 3rd stitch from hook, so in chain 52. Do 1 double crochet in all other stitches. (53)
3. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in the next four stitches, 1 bobble stitch. * Do 1 double crochet in the next five stitches, 1 bobble stitch. *
Repeat what's in between * until you've reached the end of this row. (53)
4. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in the next 52 stitches. (53). Change color at the end of the row.

The back of the pillow
Turn after every row.

1. Chain 52 (or the same amount of chains as the front, so a multiple of 4) + 3.
2. Do 1 double crochet in the 3rd stitch from hook, so in chain 52. Do 1 double crochet in all other stitches of this row. (53)
3. Chain 3, do 1 double crochet in all other stitches of this row. (53)
4. Repeat row 3 until your the back of the pillow has the same amount of rows as the front. (53)

How to assemble

Place the back and the front on top of each other with the right sides facing outside. Attach yarn in a corner. Along the side: do 2 single crochet stitches in all double crochet stitches at the end of all rows. Do single crochet stitches in all stitches of the top and the bottom row. In all corners you do 1 chain stitch.
You can also leave one side open and attach buttons on one side. You don't need button holes, you can use the openings in between two double crochet stitches as button holes.

Egyptian Cotton

Een tijdje geleden kreeg ik tien prachtige bollen met Egyptian Cotton in hele mooie kleurtjes. Ik begon meteen met het haken van een deken, maar toen ik al even op weg was had ik zin in een minder groot project. En ik wilde eigenlijk ook een ander patroontje. Dus gisteren ben ik begonnen met een nieuw kussen. Het haakt lekker snel weg met een haaknaald 5mm en de bobbels vind ik altijd leuk om te haken. Het garen gaat er dan wel snel doorheen, want je haakt bij deze bobbelsteek eigenlijk vijf stokjes (die niet af zijn) in een steek. Dus ga maar na hoeveel steken extra dat is in plaats van een gewone rij met stokjes. Maar het is een mooi patroon en leuk om te haken. Het patroon ben ik aan het uitschrijven dus dat zal ik op mijn blog zetten zodra het af is. Ik hoop dat dat volgende week lukt. Ik wens je een fijne zondag!
p.s. dit is het garenpakket wat ik heb, ik heb alleen de Egytian Cotton en niet de Bamboo.

A while ago I received ten beautiful balls of Egyptian Cotton in very pretty colors. I immediately started crocheting a blanket, but after a while I felt like doing a smaller project. And I also wanted a different pattern. So yesterday I started with a new pillow. It is easy to crochet with a 5mm crochet hook and I always like bobble stitches. You need a lot of yarn for a bobble stitch, because with this bobble stitch you actually crochet five double crochet stitches (that are not finished) in one stitch. So you can figure out how many extra stitches that is instead of a regular row of double crochet stitches. But it's fun and I love making it. I am writing out the pattern so I will put that on my blog as soon as it is finished. I hope to have it published next week. I wish you a happy Sunday!

Scraps of yarn pattern

 

Als ik wat met restjes maak zijn het meestal granny squares. Ze zijn zo leuk om te maken en als je ze tijdens het haken meteen aan elkaar haakt is het heel erg eenvoudig. Op de foto zijn het 11 squares maar inmiddels is het een lapje van 19 stuks. In het echt zijn ze kleiner dan ze op de foto lijken, dus het is echt een heel schattig klein lapje. Ik weet nog niet wat ik er van ga maken. Ik heb in elk geval genoeg restjes om nog even vooruit te kunnen.

When I make something with scraps of yarn it's usually granny squares. They are so much fun to make and if you join them while you go it is very easy. In the picture there are 11 squares but as I'm writing this there are 19 already. They are smaller then they look on the picture so it is a really cute set of squares. I don't know yet what I will make of it. In any case I have enough leftovers for a while.

Crochet Dog

 

Tijdens warme zomeravonden vind ik het heerlijk om buiten te zitten en een stukje te haken. Ik ben nu bezig met het haken van een hond. Die maakte ik al eerder (klik hier om te lezen waar het patroon vandaan komt) maar nu haak ik 'm met Phildar Coton 3 (de bruine kleur) en Drops Cotton Light (haaknaald 3mm). Dat laatste garen is echt heel mooi, maar niet zo geschikt voor amigurumi. Dus het is af en toe een beetje worstelen want het garen splijt snel. Ik denk dat dat minder is als je bijvoorbeeld een deken of een trui haakt, waarbij de steken wat minder strak hoeven te zijn. En een grotere haaknaald wil ook nog wel eens helpen. Ik ben maar wel gewoon verder gegaan en de hond is bijna af. Nog een arm en dan kan ik 'm in elkaar zetten. Wil je meer hondjes en patronen van hondjes zien? Klik dan hier. During warm summer evenings I love to sit outside and crochet. I am now making a dog. I made this dog before (click here to see where I found the pattern) but this time I'm making it with Phildar Coton 3 (the brown color) and Drops Cotton Light (crochet hook size 3mm. This Drops yarn is really beautiful, but not so suitable for amigurumi. So it's a bit of a struggle at times because the yarn splits quickly. I think that's less so when you're crocheting a blanket or a sweater, for example, where the stitches don't need to be as tight. Also, a bigger crochet hook might help against the splitting. Crochet Bear

 

Ik vond een gratis patroontje van een schattige beer en dus maakte ik er eentje. Je vindt het patroon hier. Ik deed iets anders met de kleuren zodat ik weer wat restjes op kon maken. Eigenlijk had ik de ogen aan de andere kant moeten doen, zodat je de kleurwissel niet zo goed zou zien. Maar ach, hij is er niet minder vrolijk van geworden vind ik. Het patroontje is dus gratis beschikbaar en op de site van Airali. Zij haakte deze beer met haaknaald 4.5mm, ik haakte hem met een haaknaald 3mm en Phildar Phil Coton 3. In plaats van het neusje er op te naaien gebruikte ik een plastic veiligheidsneusje. Ik bracht dus de nodige wijzigingen aan als je kijkt naar de beer van het patroon, maar het blijft een superschattig beertje, vind je niet?

I found a free pattern of a cute bear and so I made one. You can find the pattern here. I changed the way the colors were used so I could use some scraps of yarn. Actually, I should have attached the eyes on the other side so the color change on the sweater wouldn't be so visible. But still the bear is very happy I think. The pattern is a free pattern on the website of Airali. She made this bear with a crochet hook size 4.5mm. I used a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3. In stead of sewing the nose on the face, I used a plastic safety nose. So, a lot of little changes to the original bear but still a very cute bear, don't you think?

Crochet Bee Pattern

Heb jij dat ook? Dat je heel vaak hetzelfde soort projecten haakt maar dat het nooit gaat vervelen? Ik heb al heel veel bijtjes gehaakt, maar toen ik dit leuke patroon op FaveCrafts zag heb ik meteen het project waar ik mee bezig was aan de kant gelegd. Ik haakte deze bij met Phildar Phil Coton 3 in de kleur Minerai en Katia Capri in de kleur 82057. Voor de vleugels gebruikte ik een restje Phildar Phil Coton 3 van een lichte kleur (het kleurnummer weet ik helaas niet). Ik haakte met een haaknaald 3mm. Ik hang mijn gehaakte bijen altijd aan een touwtje, zodat ze voor het raam kunnen hangen. Wil je alle bijen zien die ik haakte? Klik dan hier om alle blogberichten over bijen te zien.

I've crocheted lots of bees, but when I saw this cute pattern on FaveCrafts I immediately put aside the project I was working on. I crocheted this bee with the Phildar Phil Coton 3 in the color Minerai and Katia Capri in the color 82057. For the wings, I used just scraps of Phildar Phil Coton 3 of a light color (unfortunately I don't know the color number). I crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook. Het is al weer even geleden dat er een Link Your Stuff op mijn blog stond. Ik twijfelde de laatste tijd of ik er wel mee door wilde gaan. Met de komst van zoveel andere social media waar mensen hun projecten kunnen delen merkte ik de laatste jaren al dat de animo voor een link feestje flink afnam. Maar ik had er zelf nog veel plezier in dus ik liet het gewoon doorgaan. De afgelopen weken twijfelde ik dus, maar mijn blog zonder link feestje voelt ook heel kaal. Dus voor nu is het er weer en ik hoop dat we er ook met wat minder deelnemers een vrolijk feestje van kunnen maken. Ik wens je veel plezier! :-) 

It's been a while since there was a Link Your Stuff link party on my blog. Lately I was doubting whether I wanted to continue with it. With all these other social media where people can share their work, I noticed in recent years that the enthusiasm for a link party wasn't the same as in the early days. But I still had a lot of fun having it here on my blog so I just let it continue. So the last few weeks I was in doubt, but my blog without a link party also feels very empty. So for now it's back and I hope we can make it a happy party even with less participants. I wish you lots of fun! :-)

Crochet Hearts Free Pattern

Al zo lang ik haak haak ik hartjes. Soms gewoon platte hartjes zoals deze, maar ook de gevulde hartjes zoals op de foto hierboven. Ik schreef al eerder een patroontje uit van een gevuld hartje, dat was een iets kleinere versie en die vind je hier op mijn blog. De hartjes op de foto hierboven zijn dus een slag groter maar net zo leuk om te haken. Het patroon vind je hieronder. Dit patroon is overigens ook geplaatst op AllFreeCrochet. As long as I've been crocheting I'm making hearts. Sometimes flat hearts like these, but also stuffed hearts like the ones on the photo above. Hoe lief zijn deze vogeltjes? Het patroon is gratis en je vindt het hier. Ik maakte er een lang touw aan vast zodat je ze voor een raam kan hangen bijvoorbeeld. Frogs, bears and foxes

 

Ik heb zo'n enorme voorraad amigurumi dat ik soms niet goed weet wat ik er mee moet. Ik bewaar ze in een grote doos en ik zoek soms wel eens naar goede doelen die het misschien kunnen gebruiken maar tot nu toe zonder succes. Voorheen stond ik nog wel eens op marktjes, en als het mooi weer was was dat ontzettend leuk. Maar helaas is dat er het laatste jaar natuurlijk niet van gekomen. Wie weet komt dat gauw weer eens. I have such a huge amount of amigurumi that sometimes I don't know what to do with them. I keep them in a big box and occasionally I google for charity projects that might need them but so far without succes. I used to sell them every now and then on markets, and if the weather was nice it was a lot of fun. But unfortunately that did not happen last year. Who knows, maybe it will happen again soon. Crochet Vest for a Crochet Cat

 

Vorige week vertelde ik al dat ik een sjaal had gemaakt voor de groene kat, en dat ik bezig was met een vestje. Hier even een kleine update van hoe het er nu uit ziet. Ik denk dat ik een vestje met lange en korte mouwen maak. Ik heb immers drie katjes liggen, en het lijkt me wel leuk als ze allemaal iets anders dragen. Misschien dan ook nog een broek haken. Of een jurkje. Als je nog ideeen hebt, zet het dan hieronder in de comments. Dan kan ik daar misschien wel iets mee doen. De patroontjes van de kleertjes zal ik te zijner tijd delen natuurlijk. Last week I told you that I had made a scarf for the green cat, and that I was working on a cardigan. Here's a little update of how it looks now. I think I will make a cardigan with long and short sleeves. I have three crocheted cats, and I think it would be nice if they all wear something different. Maybe I'll also crochet a pair of pants, too. Or a dress. If you have any ideas, put it below in the comments. Then I might be able to do something with it.
