Fox Rattle

Voor een creatieve markt hier in de Delft haakte ik deze leuke vossenrammelaar. Het patroontje vond ik hier op Freubelweb. Ik gebruikte een haaknaald 3mm en Phildar Phil Coton 3. Is het geen schatje geworden?

For a creative market here in Delft I made this cute fox rattle. The pattern is available here on Freubelweb. I used a crochet hook size 3mm and Phildar Phil Coton 3. Isn't this a cute little fox?

Welkom bij deze nieuwe Link Your Stuff! Vorige week kreeg ik de vraag waarom er opeens reclame tussen alle links staat. Dat komt omdat de website die ik gebruik om Link Your Stuff aan te maken dat zo heeft geprogrammeerd. Ik snap dat sommige mensen dat vervelend vinden, maar ik kan er helaas niets aan veranderen. Gelukkig blijven er nog genoeg links over die te leuk zijn om niet op te klikken. :-) Ik wens je ook deze week weer veel plezier!

Otis the Donkey

Vorig jaar kreeg ik dit leuke boek van Alison North in de brievenbus. Ik schreef er toen al een blogbericht over, dat kun je hier vinden. Het boek heet Cutest Crochet Creations en het is een Engelstalig boek waar 16 superschattige patroontjes in staan. Ik haakte als eerste deze leuke ezel. Het is een vrij eenvoudig patroon en het haakt lekker weg. Ik gebruikte Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Dat haakte lekker weg en voor ik het wist was de ezel klaar. Het was zo leuk om te doen dat ik meteen nog een patroontje uit boek haakte. Daar ben ik nog niet helemaal mee klaar dus die zal ik later laten zien.
Het boek is mooi groot met fijne duidelijke foto's. De beschrijvingen zijn helder en zoals gezegd niet al te moeilijk dus ook zeer geschikt voor een beginnend haakster. Interesse in dit leuke boek? Klik dan hier om het te bestellen.

Last year I received this very lovely book by Alison North. Shortly after I wrote a blog post about it, you can find that blog post here. The book is called Cutest Crochet Creations and it is an English book (US terms) and there are 16 super cute patterns in it. This donkey was the first project I made from this book. It's a pretty easy pattern and I loved making it. I used Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. Before I knew it the donkey was ready. Because I really enjoyed making him I started working on another pattern from this book as soon as the donkey was ready. I'm still working on it so I'll show you later. 
The book is nice and big with very clear photos. The patterns are very well written en as said not too complicated so also great for a beginner. If you are interested in this book you can purchase it here.

Gunther the Cuddly Fox, Victor the Frog and Pink Panther

De afgelopen weken maakte ik deze drie knuffels af. Ik vind ze alledrie even schattig. Bij Victor de Kikker gebruikte ik alleen een paar ogen die eigenlijk een maat te groot was, maar dit waren de enige die ik in huis had. De volgende keer zou ik het doen zoals het in het boek beschreven staat. Wil je nog even terugkijken waar alle patroontjes te vinden zijn? Kijk dan hier voor Günther de Vos, hier voor Victor de Kikker en hier voor de Pink Panther. Ik haakte ze alledrie met Phildar Phil Coton 3. Een fijne zondag gewenst!

The past few weeks I finished three toys and I love them all. For Victor the Frog I used a pair of eyes that were too big, but they were the only one I had. The next time I would pick the pair that were mentioned in the book.

WoolNEss Festival

Ik had een blogbericht gepland over een leuke amigurumi die ik gehaakt heb, maar dat moet maar even wachten tot volgende week want ik wil iets anders met je delen. Het WoolNEss Festival komt er namelijk aan! Heb je er nog niet van gehoord? Dat kan zomaar kloppen, want het is een festival dat voor de eerste keer georganiseerd wordt in Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). Ik kwam er toevallig achter en ik ben ontzettend blij dat ik de kans krijg om er naar toe te gaan.
De achterliggende gedachte van de organisatie van dit festival is dat creatief bezig zijn - samengevat - ontzettend goed is voor je. Want als je zelf iets maakt dan geeft dat een bepaalde voldoening. Het maakt dat je trots bent op jezelf en hoe leuk is het om dat dan met anderen te vieren? Ik herinner me dat nog van toen ik voor het eerst iets had gehaakt. Ik was zo blij dat ik zelf iets gemaakt had wat er ook nog mooi uit zag. Ik wilde het eigenlijk aan iedereen laten zien. Nou dat gevoel, dat is precies waar dit festival over gaat.
Ik vind het erg leuk om er naartoe te gaan en ik zal zeker verslag uit brengen van hoe het is geweest. Wil je meer lezen over WoolNEss Festival? I had planned a blog post about a nice amigurumi that I crocheted, but that has to wait until next week because I have something else to share. And that is that WoolNEss Festival is coming! Have you not heard of it yet? That can be right, because it is a festival that is being organized for the first time in Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). 

I happened to find out about it and I am very happy that I have the opportunity to go to the UK to visit WoolNEss. 

The idea behind the organization of this festival is that being creative - in summary - is incredibly good for you. Because if you make something yourself, it gives you a certain satisfaction. It makes you proud of yourself and how fun is it to celebrate this with others? I remember my first time crocheting something. I was so happy that I made something myself that also looked nice. I really wanted to show it to everyone. Well that feeling, that is exactly what this festival is about.

Gunther the Cuddly Fox

Ik maakte vorige week deze Günther de Vos af (klik hier voor het patroon). Het is zo'n leuk patroon. Niet altijd een even goed leesbaar patroon overigens, maar als je goed meeschrijft en een steekmarkeerder gebruikt dan helpt dat wel. Bij de staart haak ik sowieso altijd een paar toeren extra want volgens mij klopt daar iets niet in de beschrijving. Maar ik word hoe dan ook altijd erg blij als ik Günther haak. Ik haakte deze Günther met Phildar Phil Coton 3. Wil je Günther in andere kleuren zien? Klik dan hier.
Komende week zal ik trouwens een ander leuk projectje delen wat ik onlangs af maakte. Daarover later meer, voor nu wens ik je een fijne zondag.

I finished this Günter the Cuddly Fox (click here for pattern) last week. It is such a lovely pattern. But I must say it is not always a very clear pattern, but if you make notes and use a stitch marker it definitely helps. When I make the tail I always crochet a few extra round because I believe something isn't right in this part of the pattern. But no matter what, I'm always enjoying making Günther. Apple Cozy Free Pattern

Ik viste van de week weer eens een gebutste appel uit mijn tas. Toen ik 's avonds thuis kwam ben ik daarom op zoek gegaan naar de appelknoopjes die ik vorig jaar een keer vond toen ik samen met Loes van Freubelweb op een freubeldate was. En toen ik het knoopje gevonden had haakte ik dit hoesje voor mijn appels. Het is een hoesje voor een niet al te grote appel. Het patroon vind je hieronder. Ik haakte het hoesje met een haaknaald 3.5mm en restjes Scheepjes Cotton Eight garen. Wil je ander garen gebruiken? Dan kun je ook Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK of Phildar Phil Coton 3 gebruiken.

I found a crushed apple in my bag earlier this week. So when I arrived home I started looking for the cute apple cuttons I found last year when I was on a craft date with Loes from Freubelweb. And when I found the button, I made this apple cozy for my apples. It's an apple cozy for a small sized apple. You can find the pattern below. I made the cozy with a crochet hook size 3.5mm and scraps of Scheepjes Cotton Eight yarn. Do you want to try a different yarn? Then try Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK or Phildar Phil Coton 3.

HAAKPATROON APPELHOESJE

Patroon hoesje
Je haakt het hoesje in een spiraal tenzij anders vermeld.
1. Haak 6 V in een magische ring. Vind je de magische ring niet fijn? Haak dan 2 lossen en haak de 6 V in de eerste losse die je haakte.
2. Meerder rondom met HST. (12)
3. * Haak 1 HST in de volgende steek, haak 2 HST in de daarop volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (18)
4. * Haak 1 HST in de volgende 2 steken, haak 2 HST in de daarop volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (24)
5. * Haak 1 HST in de volgende 3 steken, haak 2 HST in de daarop volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (30)
6. * Haak 1 HST in de volgende 4 steken, haak 2 HST in de daarop volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (36)
7. * Haak 1 HST in de volgende 5 steken, haak 2 HST in de daarop volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (42)
8-12. Haak 1 HST in elke steek rondom. (42)
13. * Haak 5 HST, minder bij de volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (36)
14. Haak 2 L, keer je werk. * Haak 4 HST, minder bij de volgende steek. * Herhaal rondom. (30)
15. Haak 2 L, keer je werk, haak 1 HST in elke steek.
16. Haak 10 lossen en haak vervolgens een halve vaste in het laatste HST wat je haakte aan het einde van toer 15. Dit lusje is het knoopsgaatje. Naai nu het knoopje aan de andere kant van de opening en werk alle draadjes weg.

Patroon blaadje
Maak er twee
1. Haak 10 L.
2. Haak in de tweede L vanaf de naald 1 vaste. Haak in de volgende lossen: 1 HST, 1 HST, 1 ST, 1 ST, 1 ST, 1 HST, 1 HST, 1V.
3. De steken van toer 2 haak je vervolgens ook aan de andere kant van de lossenrij. Dus in de laatste losse haak je nog 1V, vervolgens ga je verder met de andere steken.
4. Haak na de laatste V niet af, maar ga door met halve vasten door het midden van de lossenrij naar de andere kant van het blaadje. Hecht af en laat een lange draad zitten waarmee je het blaadje op de appel naait.

CROCHET PATTERN APPLE COZY

Pattern Apple Cozy
Crochet in a spiral, unless stated otherwise.
1. Make 6 SC in a magic ring. If you don’t like the magic ring, do the following: chain 2, make 6 SC in the first chain.
2. Increase around with HDC stitches. (12)
3. * 1 HDC in the next stitch, increase (HDC) in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (18)
4. * 1 HDC in the next 2 stitches, increase (HDC) in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (24)
5. * 1 HDC in the next 3 stitches, increase (HDC) in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (30)
6. * 1 HDC in the next 4 stitches, increase (HDC) in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (36)
7. * 1 HDC in the next 5 stitches, increase (HDC) in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (42)
8-12. 1 HDC in each stitch around. (42)
13. * 5 HDC, decrease in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (36)
14. Chain 2, turn.* 5 HDC, decrease in the next stitch. * Repeat around. (30)
15. Chain 2, turn, 1 HDC in each stitch around.
16. Chain 10 en make a slip stitch in the last HDC you made at the end of row 15. You’ve now made the loop for the button. Work away all yarn ends and sew a button on the other side.

Pattern leaves
Make two leaves.
1. Chain 10.
2. Make 1 SC in the second chain from your hook. In all other chain stitches do the following: 1 HDC, 1 HDC, 1 DC, 1 DC, 1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 HDC, 1 SC.
3. Now make the same stitches you made in row 2 on the other side of the row of chains. So in the last chain do another SC, and continue making the other stitches on the other side of the row of chains.
4. Don’t fasten off after the last SC, but continue making slip stitches through the middle of the leaf. So you make the slip stitches in the row of chains. Fasten off when you’ve reached the other side of the leaf and sew the leaf onto the apple cozy.

Frog by Picapau

Gisteravond maakte ik deze vrolijke kikker af. Het patroon vind je in dit leuke boek. Ik denk dat dit toch wel een van mijn favoriete boeken is. Het staat al even in mijn kast maar ik had er nog niet eerder iets uit gehaakt. Ik vond het grappig te ontdekken dat deze kikker een stukje groter is dan ik had verwacht. Van tevoren had ik niet naar het formaat gekeken en ik dacht dat 'ie zo groot als mijn had zou zijn. Maar hij werd 25cm lang. De kleur die ik gebruikte is trouwens iets anders dan in het boek staat vermeld. Ik gebruikte één bol Phildar Phil Coton 3 in de kleur Pin 1363. Ook de andere kleuren zijn van Phildar Phil Coton 3.
Vooral de flippers vind ik erg leuk, en het in elkaar zetten bleek niet zo ingewikkeld als ik van tevoren dacht. Het patroon was erg eenvoudig te volgen dus ik ga zeker nog eens iets uit het boek maken. Het boek vind je dus hier. Het is gelukkig in het Nederlands beschikbaar maar als je het in het Engels wilt bestellen kan dat ook. Dat kan hier. Een fijne avond gewenst!

Last night I finished this frog. The pattern is in this lovely book. I think this book is one of my favourites. I've had it for some time but I did not make any of the projects so far. It was funny to discover that the frog turned out larger then I thought. I thought it would be the size of my hand, looking at the pictures. But it turned out a frog of 25cm long. The color I used is not the color that's mentioned in the book. I used 1 ball of  (Phildar Phil Coton 3, color Pin 1363). The other colors are also Phildar Phil Coton 3.
I love the flippers, and to sew all parts wasn't as hard as I thought. The pattern is very easy to follow so I will definitely make something of this book again. The book is available here. Garden Garland

Een tijd geleden ontwierp ik de Garden Garland voor LoveCrafts. Het patroon is gratis te downloaden, je vindt het hier. De bloemetjes op de foto hierboven maken deel uit van deze slinger vol bloemen. De originele slinger is gemaakt met Paintbox Yarn Simply DK. De bloemen op de foto hierboven zijn gemaakt met Phildar Phil Coton 3.

Some time ago I designed the Garden Garland for LoveCrafts. The pattern is available as a free download, you can find it here. The flowers on the photo above are part of this garland that's filled with flowers. The original garland was made with Paintbox Yarn Simply DK. The flowers on the photo above were made with Phildar Phil Coton 3.

Pink Panther

Het heeft even geduurd voordat Pink Panther af was maar nu het zover is ben ik er heel erg blij mee. Het is een patroon van ontwerper Edward Yong, je vindt het hier gratis op Ravelry (in het Engels). Ik heb wel een paar aanpassingen gedaan, ik schrijf ze even op. Als je het hele patroon download en deze aanwijzingen er naast legt krijg je de versie die ik heb.

1. Het donkerroze stuk op de neus haakte ik helemaal anders. Ik haakte het zo:
Toer 1: 2 lossen, keer je werk.
Toer 2: haak 2 vasten in de eerste losse, haak een keerlosse, keer je werk.
Toer 3: meerder in elke vaste, haak een keerlosse, keer je werk.
Toer 4: haak 1 vaste in elke vaste, haak een keerlosse, keer je werk.
Toer 5: meerder in de eerste vaste, haak 2 vasten, meerder in de laatste vaste, haak een keerlosse, keer je werk.
Toer 6-7: haak 1 vaste in elke vaste, haak een keerlosse, keer je werk.
Haak na toer 7 rondom allemaal vasten. Haak onderin de punt 2 vasten. Hecht af.
2. Van de wenkbrauwen haakte ik alleen toer 1. Daarna naaide ik de wenkbrauwen boven de ogen.
3. Van het lijfje haakte ik toer 74-79 niet.
4. De benen: na toer 25 haakte ik de benen dicht met vasten. Zorg ervoor dat je het deel wat je al gehaakt hebt gevuld hebt met vulling. Je gaat dan dus terug van 12 vasten rondom naar 6 vasten rondom. Daarna haakte ik in de buitenste lussen van elke vaste rondom zodat je in feite meerdert van 6 naar 12. Ik had toen weer evenveel steken had als in toer 24. Daarna haakte ik de toeren 26-40 zoals beschreven in het patroon.
5. De duimen haakte ik niet.

Om deze Pink Panther te haken gebruikte ik een haaknaald 3mm, twee veiligheidsoogjes maat 6mm, twee bollen Phildar Phil Coton 3 kleur Berlingot voor het lichaam, een restje donkerroze om de punt van de neus te haken (Phildar Phil Coton 3 Oeillet), een bol lichtroze (Phildar Phil Coton 3 kleur Rosee), zwart (Phildar Phil Coton 3 Noir) en geel (Phildar Phil Coton 3 Soleil) voor de ogen.

It took me some time to finish this Pink Panther but now that he's ready I'm very happy with it. The pattern is from designer Edward Yong, you can find it as a free download here on Ravelry (English pattern). I made a few adjustment that I wrote down below. If you download the pattern and follow the adjustments below, you will have the Pink Panther as I made it.

1. I totally adjusted the dark pink part of the nose. I made it like this:
Row 1: chain 2, turn.
Row 2: increase in the first chain you made, chain 1, turn.
Row 3: increase in every single crochet, chain 1, turn.
Row 4. 1 single crochet in every stitch, chain 1, turn.
Row 5: increase in the first stitch, 2 single crochet, increase in the last stitch, chain 1, turn.
Row 6-7: 1 single crochet in every stitch, chain 1, turn.
After row 7 do single crochet stitches all around. Make 2 single crochet in the lowest point. When you're at the first single crochet: fasten off.
2. For the eyebrows I only did row 1, then I fastened off.
3. From the body I skipped rows 74-79.
4. The legs: after row 25 I crocheted the stitches together with single crochet stitches. Make sure to fill the legg with fyberfill before you do so. So I went from 12 stitches around to 6 stitches. Then I crocheted a single crochet stitch in the outer loops of every stitch so I increased from 6 to 12 stitches again. So then I had just as much stitches around again as in row 24. Then I continued making rows 26-40 as described in the pattern.
5. I didn't make the thumbs.

To make this Pink Panther I used a crochet hook size 3mm, 2 safety eyes size 6mm, two balls of Phildar Phil Coton 3 color Berlingot for the body, scraps of dark pink to make the dark part of the nose (Phildar Phil Coton 3 color Oeillet), a ball of light pink yarn (Phildar Phil Coton 3 color Rosee), black yarn (Phildar Phil Coton 3 color Noir) and yellow (Phildar Phil Coton 3 color Soleil) for the eyes.

New granny square project

Ik was begonnen met het haken van een heleboel granny squares (klik hier voor het patroon en het eindresultaat) terwijl ik eigenlijk nog niet zo goed wist wat ik er mee wilde maken. Toen ik er een heleboel af had ben ik ze in elkaar gaan haken want halverwege had ik besloten dat ik een deken wilde maken. Maar toen bedacht ik me. Het wordt dus toch iets anders, zie jij op onderstaande foto al wat het wordt?

I started making a lot of granny squares (click here for the pattern and the end result) even though I didn't really know what to do with them. When I made a lot of them I started joining them because somewhere along the way I decided to make a blanket. But then I changed my mind. It's going to be something else, can you see what it is?

Blue Violets Blanket uit mijn boek Crochet in the City

Vandaag ben ik bij Atelier Kleurrijk Vilt in Delft om workshops te geven in verband met het 7-jarig bestaan van de winkel. Omdat ik zo druk ben (geweest) hiermee vandaag even niemand in de spotlight bij Link Your Stuff, maar het linkfeestje gaat hieronder natuurlijk ook gewoon door. Today I'm at the yarn shop Atelier Kleurrijk Vilt in Delft to give workshops because it's their 7th birthday today. Haakworkshops Atelier Kleurrijk Vilt

Op 25 mei a.s. geef ik twee haakworkshops bij Atelier Kleurrwijk Vilt in Delft in verband met het feit dat de winkel 7 jaar bestaat. De eerste workshop is speciaal voor beginners en duurt van 11-12 uur in de ochtend. Tijdens de workshop gaan we de bovenstaande cactus haken. De workshop is bedoeld als kennismaking met het haken, daarom duurt de workshop ook maar een uur. Niet iedereen zal de cactus af krijgen maar aan het einde van de workshop zal iedereen voldoende kennis hebben om de cactus thuis af te maken. Het garen is inbegrepen, een haaknaald krijg je te leen. Meedoen met de workshop kost 10 euro. Na afloop kun je je inschrijven voor een vervolgworkshop. Wil je meedoen? Kun je al een beetje haken en wil je liever aanschuiven bij de workshop voor gevorderden? Ook die workshop duurt een uur en kost 10 euro. De workshop duurt van 13-14 uur. Tijdens deze workshop leg ik je de beginselen van Amigurumi haken uit door samen een Bij te haken (zie foto hieronder). De Bij kun je later thuis afmaken. Het garen is inbegrepen, een haaknaald krijg je te leen. Ook na afloop van deze workshop kun je je inschrijven voor een vervolgworkshop. Ook hier kan aanmelden door te bellen of langs te gaan bij Atelier Kleurrijk Vilt, een berichtje te sturen via de Facebook-pagina van Atelier Kleurrijk Vilt of stuur een mail naar naar annemarieshaakblog @ hotmail.com

Elke deelnemer krijgt van mij trouwens nog een kleinigheidje kado, dus meld je gauw aan als je interesse hebt want er is maar een beperkt aantal plaatsen beschikbaar. 

On May 25th I will give two crochet workshops at Atelier Kleurrwijk Vilt in Delft due to the fact that the shop is celebrating it's seventh birthday. The first workshop is for beginners and takes place from 11-12 in the morning. During the workshop we will make the cactus above. The workshop is meant as an introduction into crochet, so the workshop only takes one hour. Not everyone will finish the cactus but at the end of the workshop everyone will have enough knowledge to finish the cactus at home. The yarn is included, you can borrow a crochet hook. Participating in the workshop costs 10 euro. Afterwards you can register for a follow-up workshop. Do you want to participate? If you have some experience with crochet you can join the advanced workshop. This workshop also takes one hour and costs 10 euros. The workshop lasts from 13-14 hours. During this workshop I will explain the principles of crocheting Amigurumi by making a crochet Bee (see picture below). We will start with the making of the Bee and you can finish it later at home. The yarn is included, you can borrow a crochet hook. Also, after this workshop you can sign up for a follow-up workshop. Sjaals haken a la Sascha

Gisteren was ik bij Wolplein bij de boekpresentatie van het boek Sjaals haken a la Sascha. Wat een prachtig boek is het! Zodra het kon ben ik thuis aan de slag gegaan met de sjaal genaamd 'Kronkelpad'. Een heel fijn patroon want je kunt het gedachteloos weghaken, en van dat soort projecten word ik altijd erg blij. Het boek staat vol met hele mooie patronen. Van niet zo ingewikkeld tot juist wel heel ingewikkeld. Er staan niet alleen geschreven patronen in maar bij elke sjaal vind je ook een haakdiagram. De foto's zijn ontzettend mooi en de hardcover van het boek met mooie witte opdruk op de zijkant maken het een eye-catcher in je kast. Ik ben ontzettend bij met dit boek. De sjaal op de foto haakte ik met een haaknaald 7mm en een bol Paintbox Chunky Pots in de kleur Paradise. Voor een lekkere lange sjaal heb je minstens twee Chunky Pots nodig. Yesterday I was at Wolplein at the book launch party of the Dutch book 'Sjaals haken a la Sascha'. It's such a gorgeous book! As soon as I could I started working on my first scarf from the book. The pattern was really nice and easy to follow, and patterns that continue in the same sequence are my favourite, so I really love this one. The book is filled with many pretty patterns. From not too complicated to complicated. And the patterns are not only written, they come with diagrams as well. The pictures in the book are really nice and the hardcover of the book with the black print on the side make the book a real eye-catcher in your bookcase. The scarf on the photo was made with a crochet hook size 7mm and a ball of Paintboxy Chunky Pots in the color Paradise. For a nice and long scarf you will need at least two Chunky Post.
