Flower and.. a trip ahead

Vandaag ga ik op reis en ik neem mee... dit gehaakte bloemetje. Ik heb vanavond een hele gezellige afspraak met iemand die jullie vast allemaal wel kennen. Ik verklap het nog niet, maar het heeft natuurlijk te maken met het grote geheime project waar ik al een hele tijd mee bezig ben. En morgen is een belangrijke dag! Crochet Flowers and Hearts

Als ik tijd over heb of restjes garen heb liggen dan vind ik het heel erg leuk om in het wilde weg wat hartjes of bloemetjes te haken. Soms is het maar een bloemetje in de week, en soms zijn het er een paar. Ik heb een grote weckpot op mijn knutseltafel staan waar ik ze in doe en eens in de zoveel tijd hecht ik de draadjes af. En als de pot vol is dan heb ik opeens een verzameling hartjes en bloemetjes liggen. Zo ook deze verzameling.
Ondertussen werk ik nog hard aan het project waar ik binnenkort meer over zal verklappen. Er komt in elk geval een belangrijke deadline voor me aan, en daar kijk ik heel erg naar uit.

When I have some extra time and scraps of yarn, I love to make some flowers and hearts. Sometimes it's just one flower a week, and sometimes it's more. I have a large jar on my desk where I can put them in and every now and then I work away all yarn ends. And when the jar is full, I have a lovely collection of hearts and flowers like this one.
In the meantime I'm working very hard on my secret project. I'll tell you more about is soon. All I can say now is that a very important deadline is near and I'm very much looking forward to that.

Als ik op internet aan het rondsnuffelen ben kom ik eigenlijk altijd wel een leuk gratis patroontje tegen. Deze vond ik gisteren op de website Amigurumi Today. Het is een Engels patroon maar misschien dat je er uit komt met dit vertaalschema. Je vindt het patroontje hier.

Garland Crochet Pattern

Ik vond het leuk om eens iets anders te haken voor aan een slinger, dus haakte ik deze rondjes. Het patroontje heb ik uitgeschreven, je vindt het hieronder. Ik haakte met een haaknaald 3mm en verschillende kleurtjes/restjes Phildar Phil Coton 3.

I thought it would be nice to make something different as a garland, so I crocheted these circles. You can find the pattern below. I made this garland with a crochet hook size 3mm and various colors Phildar Phil Coton 3. The English pattern is also available for download at LoveCrafts, click here to go there.

Patroon
De clustersteek: bij een clustersteek van 3 stokjes sla je bij elk stokje de laatste stap over. Na het derde stokje haal je de draad door alle lussen op de naald.

1. Maak een magische ring. Haak 4 lossen (telt als 1 stokje + 1 losse). * Haak 1 stokje, haak 1 losse. * Herhaal acht keer. Haak 1 halve vaste in de derde losse van het begin van deze toer.
2. Haak 1 halve vaste in de 1-losse-opening. * Haak een clustersteek van 3 stokjes in de 1-losse-opening, haak 2 lossen. * Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in de eerste clustersteek, haak 1 halve vaste in de 1-losse-opening en wissel daarbij van kleur.
3. Haak 3 lossen (telt als eerste stokje), haak in dezelfde 1-losse-opening een clustersteek van 3 stokjes. * Haak 3 lossen, haak 1 clustersteek van 4 stokjes in de volgende 1-losse-opening. * Herhaal rondom. Eindig deze toer met 2 lossen en dan een halve vaste bovenin de eerste clustersteek. Wissel daarbij van kleur.
4. Haak in elke 3-lossen-opening: 1 vaste, 1 half stokje, 1 stokje, 1 half stokje, 1 vaste. Hecht af.

Pattern
The clusterstitch: when you make a clusterstitch of 3 double crochet (dc), you skip the last step of each double crochet. After the 3rd double crochet, you pull the yarn through all loops on your hook.

1. Make a magic ring. Chain 4 (counts as 1 dc + 1 chain). * 1 dc, chain 1. * Repeat 8 times. Do 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain of the beginning of this row.
2. Do 1 slip stitch in the 1-chain-opening. * Make a clusterstitch of 3dc in the 1-chain-opening, 
chain 3. * Repeat around. Do 1 slip stitch in the first cluster stitch, do 1 slip stitch in the 1-chain-opening and change color.
3. Chain 3 (counts as 1dc), in the same chain-1-opening: a cluster stitch of 3dc. * Chain 3, 1 cluster stitch of 4dc in the next 1-chain-opening. * Repeat around. End this row with 2 chain stitches and then a slip stitch in the first cluster stitch. Change color.
4. In every 3-chain-opening: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 dc, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet. Fasten off.

Crochet ragdoll

Het jaar 2017 stond voor mij vooral in het teken van het Grote Geheime Project waar ik binnenkort meer over zal vertellen. Het was soms best lastig om er niks over te zeggen, zeker omdat ik heel erg druk was maar niet kon laten zien waarmee. En ondertussen wilde ik mijn blog 'draaiende' houden en zo nu en dan natuurlijk iets haken wat ik kon delen. Ik haakte dan af en toe kleine projectjes uit een van de boeken in mijn kast, bijvoorbeeld deze ontzettend schattige lappenpop uit het boek Lappenpoppen 2. Het boek is zo fijn want de patroontjes zijn eenvoudig en leuk om te maken. Ik haakte deze lappenpop met Phildar Phil Coton 3 en een haaknaald 3mm. Meer blogberichten over leuke boeken vind je hier. En oh ja, heb je de nieuwe vlog van Freubelweb al gezien? Ik geloof dat ik iets langs hoorde komen over het Grote Geheime Project. ;-)

The year 2017 was the year of the Big Secret Project of which I'll tell more soon. It was very hard not to tell you about it, especially because I was working on it so hard but I couldn't show anything of it. And in the meantime I wanted to keep my blog going and I wanted to crochet something I could share every now and then. So at times I made little projects from the books I love, for instance this very cute ragdoll from the book Lappenpoppen 2. The book is one of my favourites as the patterns are cute and easy to make. I made this ragdoll with Phildar Phil Coton 3 and a crochet hook size 3mm. More blog posts about books are here. Oh, and if you speak Dutch, check the new vlog of Freubelweb. I think I heard something about the Big Secret Project in it. ;-)

In 2012 stonden we samen op de Landgoedfair en in datzelfde jaar waren we bij de boekpresentatie van het boek Hooked on Knitting in Amsterdam. Een superleuke dag met een tochtje op een omhaakte rondvaartboot. Bij het zoeken naar foto's vond ik dit blogbericht, waar Loes en ik zelfs samen op de foto staan.
Daarna hadden we nog regelmatig mailcontact maar we hadden elkaar lang niet gezien, totdat... we samen afgelopen voorjaar op een heel leuk wolfeestje terechtkwamen. We wisten van elkaar niet dat we er kwamen dus de verrassing was groot en ik vond het geweldig leuk om Loes weer te zien. Bij dat feestje kwamen we tot de conclusie dat het toch zo leuk zou zijn om samen weer iets te doen. Maar wat? We spraken af in Utrecht, waar we lang spraken over alle ideeen die we hebben, en daarna zagen we elkaar nog een keer in Leerdam. En dat 'samen iets doen' werd steeds concreter. Maar wat het precies gaat worden, dat verklap ik nog even niet. Maar om vast een beetje te vieren dat er wat leuks aan komt geeft Loes een heel erg leuk Freubel-pakket weg aan een van mijn volgers. A long time ago, and to be precise in this blog post in 2011, I blogged about Freubelweb for the first time. Shortly after, Loes from Freubelweb contacted me for the first time. She had planned to go to the Holy Stitch Craft Fair and asked me if I could make some crochet garlands for her to sell. I started working on the garlands and ofcourse I went to the fair where Loes and I met for the first time. It was so nice to see her and afterwards we stayed in touch and every now and then we met. In 2012 we were on the Landgoedfair together, and in the same year we met at the book presentation of the book Hooked on Knitting in Amsterdam. A very fun day where we made a canal tour on a crocheted boat. While I searched for blog posts about this event I found this blog post where Loes and I are on a photo together.
After that day we emailed every now and then, but we hadn't seen each other for a long time, until... we ended up being at the same yarn party last Spring. We didn't know we were both going to the same party so it was a huge surprise and I loved seeing Loes again. At the yarn party we talked about how fun it would be to work together on a project again. But what kind of project? We met in Utrecht a couple of weeks later, where we spoke about our ideas, and after that we met in Leerdam. And the project became more concrete, but I'm not going to tell you what it will be yet. But to celebrate that something fun and exciting is coming up, Loes is giving away the gorgeous Freubelweb-package to one of my followers. Het was weer een fantastisch creatief jaar, en vandaag heb ik een overzicht gemaakt van de populairste linkjes bij Link Your Stuff. Van elke maand heb ik de link weergegeven waar het meest is op geklikt, en die linkjes zie je hierboven. Zo leuk om te zien dat blauw en groen de boventoon voeren dit jaar! In 2016 maakte ik een ander overzicht, toen heb ik in vier verschillende blogberichten een samenvatting gegeven van alle leuke en populaire berichten op mijn blog dat jaar. Als je dat terug wilt lezen kun je hier klikken.

In 2015 heb ik helemaal geen samenvatting gemaakt, achteraf bezien best jammer. Maar in 2014 was er net zo'n overzicht als van dit jaar. Dat overzicht zie je hier. Valt het je ook op dat de kleuren toen totaal anders waren? Kijk ook eens bij het overzicht van 2013 (klik hier) en 2012 (klik hier). Ik ben nu zo benieuwd hoe 2018 er uit gaat zien. Gaan we terug naar de regenboog-kleuren, of wordt het nog meer blauw en groen? Of misschien wordt het geel? Of roze?

En wist je dat er in 2011 en 2010 ook al een Link Your Stuff was op mijn blog? Er zijn geen overzichten van die jaren, maar als ik terugblader door die blogberichten dan is het geweldig om te zien dat sommigen van jullie toen al meededen en nu nog steeds! De oudste Link Your Stuff die nog te lezen is op mijn blog is deze. Dat bericht dateert uit juni 2010 en Link Your Stuff heette toen nog 'Door jou gemaakt'. En is het niet geweldig om te zien dat bijvoorbeeld Anna Simple Crochet, die nu in het jaaroverzicht staat bij de maand Februari, toen al meedeed (zie link nummer 15)?
Ik wil jullie allemaal ontzettend bedanken voor jullie bezoekjes, jullie lieve commentaren, jullie emails en voor het meedoen aan Link Your Stuff! Ik hoop jullie hier volgend jaar ook weer te zien en ik wens jullie allemaal een heel fijn, gelukkig en gezond 2018!

There are no overviews of those years but going back to these blog posts it's amazing to see that some of you that were here back then are still here today! The oldest Link Your Stuff is here in this blog post. It's from June 2010 and it was called "Made by you" then. Isn't it amazing to see that Anna Simple Crochet, who is in the year overview of this year, was already there back then (link number 15)?
