Round Crochet Pillow - Free Pattern

Toen ik laatst een heel mooi patroon van een tas zag en de laatste Inside Crochet kocht (de digitale versie) was ik opeens weer helemaal besmet met het haakvirus. Ik zocht wat kleurtjes uit en haakte de tas waar ik later deze week een blogberichtje over zal schrijven. En toen was eigenlijk het hek van de dam en haakte ik in een paar dagen tijd dit ronde kussen van het garen wat ik over had van de tas. Het is een heel eenvoudig patroon en een beetje uit de losse pols gehaakt. Het patroon vind je hieronder. Het ronde granny kussen haakte ik al langer geleden. About two weeks ago I saw a gorgeous pattern of a bag in the latest Inside Crochet. So I bought the magazine (the digital version) and all of a sudden I was totally into crochet again. I searched my yarn stash and found some gorgeous colours and made the bag. I will write a blog post about the bag later this week. But once I started, I couldn't stop crocheting and made this round pillow of the yarn that was left. It is a pretty simple pattern and I think it's perfect for beginners. Haakpatroon rond kussen

Haaknaald: 4.5mm

Garen: elk garen voor een haaknaald 4.5mm is geschikt

Kussen: rond kussen, maat 40cm

Algemene tip: als je strakker of losser haakt dan ik dan zal de hoes misschien niet goed om het kussen passen. Voeg dan toeren toe of laat toeren weg. In het patroon is niet aangegeven wanneer je van kleur moet wisselen. Dat kun je aan het einde van elke toer doen als je dat wilt. Hoe je van kleur moet wisselen kun je hier zien. In dit patroon meerder je met halve stokjes.

 

1. Haak 6 vasten in een magische ring (klik hier voor een tutorial). Wil je niet met de magische ring werken, haak dan 2 lossen en haak 6 vasten in de eerste losse die je haakte. Haak 1 halve vaste in de eerste vaste die je haakte, haak 2 lossen. * Let op: deze 2 lossen tellen in dit patroon nooit als een steek. *

2. Meerder rondom met halve stokjes. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokje dat je haakte (let op: dus niet/nooit in een van de twee lossen, zie opmerking einde vorige toer) en haak 2 lossen. (12)

3. Meerder rondom met halve stokjes. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (24)

4. Haak 2 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (32)

5. Haak 3 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (40)

15. Haak 13 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (120)

20. Haak 9 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek, haak 9 halve stokjes. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (160)

21. Haak 19 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte, haak 2 lossen. (168)

22. Haak 10 halve stokjes, meerder in de volgende steek, haak 10 halve stokjes. Herhaal rondom. Haak 1 halve vaste in het eerste halve stokjes dat je haakte. Hecht af en werk alle draden weg. (176)

Haak nu nog zo'n zelfde cirkel voor de achterkant maar hecht niet af aan het einde van toer 22. Leg de beide helften op elkaar. Zorg dat de goede kant aan de buitenkant zit. Haak dan rondom vasten door de steken van beide helften van toer 22. Doe op tijd het kussen er in en hecht af als je rond bent. Hecht af en werk de overgebleven draden weg.

Crochet pattern round pillow

Crochet hook size: 4.5mm

Yarn: every yarn that's for a crochet hook size 4.5mm

Pillow: round pillow, size 40cm

General remark: if you crochet more tight or more loose than I do, your cover might be too small or too big for the pillow. If that happens you can leave out or add extra rows. I did not mention where you have to change colour so you can decide for yourself when and where to do so. If you don't know how to change colour, click here for a tutorial. This pattern is written in US terms.

INC = increase (in this pattern you increase with half double crochet stitches)

HDC = half double crochet

1. Make 6 SC in a magic ring (click here for a tutorial). If you don't want to use the magic ring, make 2 chain stitches and do 6 SC in the first chain. Make 1 slip stitch in the first SC, chain 2 (these 2 chains never count as a stitch in this pattern).

2. INC around (with HDC), make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC (so not in the chain stitches, see remark at the end of row 1), chain 2. (12)

3. INC around, make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC, chain 2. (24)

4. 2 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (32)

5. 3 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (40)

6. 4 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (48)

7. 5 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (56)

8. 6 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (64)

9. 7 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (72)

10. 4 HDC, INC, 4 HDC. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (80)

11. 3 HDC, INC, 6 HDC. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (88)

12. 10 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (96)

19. 17 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (152)

20. 9 HDC, INC, 9 HDC. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (160)

21. 19 HDC, INC in the next stitch. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row, chain 2. (168)

22. 10 HDC, INC, 10 HDC. Repeat around. Make 1 slip stitch in the first HDC that you made at the beginning of this row. Fasten off and work away yarn ends. (176)

Now make another circle just like the one you made before, but don't fasten off at the end of row 22. Place both halves on top of one another with the right sides facing outside. Now make single crochet stitches around, make sure to go through both stitches of row 22 of both halves. Don't forget to put the pillow inside before you close the pillow. Fasten off and work away the remaining yarn ends.
