De afgelopen weken hebben we geweldig weer gehad, en ik merk dat het bloggen daardoor ook een beetje op een laag pitje kwam te staan. Niet alleen was het te warm om binnen te zitten, het weer was ook gewoon te mooi om achter een computer te kruipen. Daardoor schoot de nieuwsbrief er ook een beetje bij in, en zelfs met haken liep ik hier en daar een achterstand op. Maar gelukkig gebeurden er wel allerlei leuke dingen op haakgebied. Zo werd deze maand mijn boek Crochet in the City uitgebreid gereviewed in het tijdschrift Crochet Now (issue 30). Het is een heel mooi en uitgebreid artikel geworden en het is heel tof om te lezen dat Crochet Now enthousiast is over mijn boek. Behalve de review in het onderdeel The Book Club vind je natuurlijk een heleboel leuke patronen in het tijdschrift, onder meer een prachtige deken van Blazenka Simic, die afgelopen maand op de Meehaakmiddag bij EchtStudio was en die ik al langer ken van de Instagram-account BlageCrochetDesign.
Maar er staat nog veel meer in: een haaien deken, een granny square trui en bij het tijdschrift krijg je zelfs drie glitter haaknaalden. Hoe leuk is dat? Ik werd er in elk geval heel blij van.

The past few weeks we had great weather, and therefore I didn't blog as much as I had planned. Not only was it too hot to sit inside, the weather was just too good to sit behind a computer. As a result, I skipped sending out newsletters a few times and I also didn't pick up my crochet hook as often as I usually do. But luckily, there were all kind of fun things going on. For example, this month my book Crochet in the City was extensively reviewed in the magazine Crochet Now (issue 30). It has become a very nice and comprehensive article and it is very cool to read that Crochet Now is enthusiastic about my book. In addition to the review - in the section The Book Club - you will find a lot of nice patterns in the magazine, including a beautiful blanket of Blazenka Simic. Blazenka was at the Crochet Meetup at EchtStudio last month. I already knew her from the Instagram account BlageCrochetDesign. 
But there's lots more in the magazine: a shark blanket, a granny square jumper and the magazine comes with three glitter crochet hooks. How cool is that? It made me very happy for sure.
